  1. Great update guys! Thanks to Jacky for finding the old post of listing out! Keep those updates coming in!
  2. Hi fellow neighbours! Newbie from Blk 79B reporting after 9 posts elsewhere mostly asking about Ikea GRUNDTAL range! Anyhow shocked to hear about the sudden high bills on the 2nd month despite controlling usage Seems like I have to follow-up on my meter liao.... By the way, who is still having the most updated list on who is in which block? Also remembered reading that the list included who supported which EPL soccer club as well. Maybe someone is kind enough to help post it up again so that we can all update it? (Wah to go through 119 pages of messages is no joke man! ) Anyways, hope to meet you all in person soon! Feel free to PM me as well! Ptro
  3. Hi Apple, Called Ikea hotline and the call-centre officer said he doesn't know what grade it is, and he doesn't know who else he can direct me to. Obviously he is lazy to go find out. :furious: So frustrated me went online and left a message asking to confirm whether the GRUNDTAL series is 18/8, because after googling for 2-3 days finally found that Ikea Perth states that GRUNDTAL series is 18/10! And I am pleasantly surprised that after half-hour a customer service officer by the name of Low called my handphone and confirmed that it is 18/10! He said that Ikea Singapore takes the same stock of GRUNDTAL as Ikea Perth, so what is written on Ikea Perth website would apply to Ikea Singapore as well. In fact, he even went down to the storefront and checked that this information is actually written at the back of those information tags that they have in Ikea. However he also warned me that for some of the products, some parts are not actually stainless steel, so I need to double-check before I buy. Ok that's it. GRUNDTAL series for me! Kudos to Ikea (especially Low) for their excellent follow-up. I am impressed. Hope this information helps to all those out there who are looking for cheap stainless steel accessories...
  4. Heard from my ID that one citygas customer service officer (which should be a different one mentioned by keltong) told him that even if there is an offer, it will not be free, but most probably at a discount or something like that....
  5. Yeah, don't really like the yellowish tint of the brass, looks like some faded / oxidised metal.... Pure matt silver looks sleeker...
  6. Hi Max, went down to TradeHub just now during my lunch hour - they quoted me $150! They said they don't have anything stainless steel selling at $90! The only $90 set they have is brass... Sigh, another lost good deal... just after being informed that Citygas has stopped providing the free gas heater...
  7. True only if they downgrade to a housing which is of a lower price then their selling price. Like what TYM said earlier, This profit will most probably never materialise into cash flow. Cheers, Ptro
  8. Hi Max, Can post a picture of your cheap but nice partition feature wall please? I also wanted a feature wall but my quote was even worse - S$3k! If yours was S$350 but nice, even if more ex like S$500 also worth it for standalone job... Cheers, Ptro
  9. Hi Apple, Sorry to cut into this thread, newbie to this forum but found a wealth of info already here. My missus and I are currently looking for stainless steel accessories (both bathroom and kitchen). I have visited a few shops (Hoe Kee, Poh Joo, Song-Cho, Bacera, Universal Union, Homeone) but found many of them quite expensive as compared to Ikea GRUNDTAL. Are you sure GRUNDTAL is really 18/8 stainless steel? Because I asked a few of the shops and they said GRUNDTAL stainless steel is of a lower grade. Are they just bulls**ting so that they can sell their products? Where did you get your info from? I surfed a few Ikea websites but cannot find it written down anywhere... Appreciate your comments? Cheers, Ptro
  10. Wah Max, good buy , but TradeHub 21 very far from my house (Toa Payoh) leh... Was there still a lot of stock left when you bought it? When did you buy it?
  11. Hi Guys, Newbie here. Was introduced by my missus to this forum and found a wealth of info. She became a forummer only slightly earlier than me. Saw this thread and decide to re-activate this thread again. I am also looking for stainless steel bathroom accessories. Like Chunky, we believe SS are still the most long-lasting. We are still scouting around to find the cheapest ones available. Anymore suggestions other than the few listed in this thread? Indulge looks expensive but we have not gone down to have a look yet. Went around Hoe Kee, Poh Joo, Franco Royale and Song-Cho at Jalan Berseh just now. Only Poh Joo sell SS bathroom accessories by the set (only one set of design), while others sell by piece. They are about 100-200% more expensive than the chrome ones... Also, anyone has any clue why the IKEA GRUNDTAL series is also stainless steel but cheaper than other "normal" shops? Cheers, Ptro
