Ya, but sadly said even if the vendors are honest about the risks, the problem is the invisible grille is meant for the children protection, and young children especially have no clue what they are doing, and why they did it. When parents install invisible grille, they feel at ease and let their guards down, and when these invisible grilles are not able to prevent the young children from slipping out of the loose gaps, that's where accidents happen, and falling out of the building is no joking matter. That's why my friend is so stress out about her invisible grilles, but at least she's aware of the risks now. After seeing the videos, and they have taken special precautions not to leave her kids alone especially in her balcony, but it really defies the purpose of installing her invisible grilles. After knowing HDB and BCA are not regulating Invisible Grilles, I can know understand why this unsafe product can be sold in the market. Who in the right mind will go and try in their balcony whether the invisible grilles can prevent a young child from slipping out? But given those demo video, and how far the Invisible Grilles can easily stretch and open up, a young kid can definitely slip through the loose gaps!!! I really hope HDB and BCA can regulate these invisible grilles, so that we can have a safe product that can ensure the children's safety, and not just leave to luck that the young child does not do any dangerous stunts......😪

I am afraid not, my friend's baloney invisible grilles are 3 inch gap, and you can see the photos. She easily close the gaps with her bare hands 😓, the invisible grilles wires are so weak and unsafe. Her invisible grille wires came with the horizontal wire across her balcony, and this horizontal wire moves while she closes the gaps, it's really horrible. My friend is so stressed up installing her invisible grilles, knowing that it can't do the job in protecting her kids from falling out of the building. She had instructed her helper to keep a close eye of her kids, when both her husband and her are out for work. Even when they are at home, they have to closely monitor her kids so to avoid any incidents around the balcony. If she knew there's diamond grilles in the market, and did her homework to test a few companies out, she won't be in such a dilemma on whether she's going to spent another few thousands to take out her invisible grilles, and installed the diamond grilles instead 😥

Oh gosh, if HDB didn't test the Invisible Grilles out, how do we know it's really safe to use or not? Like in my friend's invisible grille, the gaps are so wide. Is there any party regulating this matter or not?

After seeing my friend's demonstration on how weak the invisible grilles wires are, I really don't feel it's safe for kids at all! If my friend's invisible grilles gap even with the stiffeners can open so easily and widely until 6-7 inches, how can it keep a child from falling out through these gaps?

OMG I saw this video demonstration how easy it is to squeeze through the invisible grille, and the demonstrator is an adult. I can't imagine how a child can just easily slip through the gaps of the invisible grille! When i shown it to my friend, she was speechless, she has spent $2K+ for her balcony's invisible grille and it can't give her a peace of mind ?

My friend installed the invisible grilles, and she was complaining how soft the invisible grilles feels. She demonstrated to me how easy it was for her to pull the invisible grille wires apart with her bare hands. The company who did that invisible grille told her it's the best they can do and it's normal for a balcony as the wires are long, they even installed a horizontal invisible grille across but it's still so soft. She's very worried that if her kids were to climb up a stool, they can easily slip through the gaps.
