Yah man. Rather save up the money. Hee, u from pioneer confirm got seats. I take train fr lakeside, during peak hours already quite full liao. There was once my hb stood fr lakeside to kembangan, he sae legs tired man.
-
Haha no idea. We normally ask my ILs to fetch/send us to airport if it'll incur midnite charges. Or we'll just take the train if possible. Tink at least $40 bah. Midnite charges or even the peak period charges are scary.
-
To town only~ Can u imagine if I take cab from Jurong West where I stay to the airport? *faint*
-
Yay~ Finally got pics to see see. Neat work woh. Ur MBR toilet tiles kinda look like my kitchen wall tiles.
-
Hehe, I also abit scare. Think if I try, I'll put like 1/2 water 1/2 coconut milk first. Then adjust to taste accordingly in future.
-
Hmm, if that's the case, can I say that it's to add coconut milk the way we'll add water to cook rice usually? As in the replace the water with the same amt of coconut milk?
-
Place looks great in the pics.

Thick Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies 1/2 cup (113g) butter, softened 2/3 cup(133g) light brown sugar, packed 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cups (130g) rolled oats 3/4 cup (114g) raisins 1/2 cup (61g) walnuts, chopped (optional) Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla until smooth. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt together. Stir this into the butter/sugar mixture. Stir in the oats, raisins and walnuts, if using them. At this point you can either chill the dough for a bit in the fridge and then scoop it, or scoop the cookies onto a sheet and then chill the whole tray before baking them. You could also bake them right away, if you’re impatient, but I do find that they end up slighly less thick. The trick to thick cookies is to chill them b4 baking. The cookies should be two inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake them for 10 to 12 minutes (your baking time will vary, depending on your oven and how cold the cookies were going in), taking them out when golden at the edges but still a little undercooked-looking on top. Let them sit on the hot baking sheet for five minutes before transferring them to a rack to cool. *Recipe and advices from Smitten Kitchen* PS: I didn't add the walnuts in, and the recipe was great on it's own. Each of my cookies was about 3/4 tbs scoop, and it made a good size cookie.

Yah, think I bought it at Phoon Huat. But Tangs and those bigger supermarkets will have also. Aiyah, it looks just exactly like a bigger version of measuring spoons only loh. Normally the handle of each spoon will indicate how much it can fill (eg: 1/2 teaspoon, etc). This will indicate it's 1/2 cup or other sizes. Sushi nope. Still more interested in baked goodies. Maybe next time then try bah. I just started on baking breads. This is one of it.

Suddenly rem that I did post the pic of oatmeal raisin cookie here.
-
Hee~ I know that feeling. My hb also limit me to afew walls only. hehehe, but all those decals are so tempting hor?
-
Hahahaha, scarly u keep buying and all of ur walls will have some sort of decals.
-
http://www.etsy.com/ Search for decals. If you do buy from there, rem to check out the seller's feedback (feedback that others gave about the seller). Only buy from those with good feedback.
-
Erh, I bought from Etsy. It's abit more X, but the quality is good. There's lots more variety there too.
-
hehehehe~ Dun sae until like tat~ U helping ur fren and learning on the way too woh. Try with those smaller ones first to get the hang of it first bah. It's pretty easy, just that those big or complicated ones are more tedious to paste.
-
My balcony already got my bird cage with birds liao, dun need to paste more liao. Just that I added a couple more birds at that area only. I bought the same doggies as PJ for my foyer, a couple of cute birdies for kitchen and 2 cute tortoises for MBR shower screen. Hehe, good for u to practice. hehe, then after that u'll be an expert when u paste urs at ur house. It's cute, but I kinda prefer the flowers for ur TV area. Maybe these can be pasted elsewhere? My vote: 1) U mean KS-F (bird and tree branch) or KS-D (tree & bicycle) here? I vote for KS-F. 2) white cotton flower
-
Hehehehe onz lar! I'll be waiting in anticipation! Small ones are easy to paste. It's those bigger ones or those with little details that are hard to do. Will faint one.
-
Haha, ok ok only lar. My hb sae that he's getting more and more "xinfu' aka fatter everydae. hahahaha, so that's not a very good thing also. Maybe next time bah, or get one bottle to make dessert for xmas. Then next time i can pass u some dessert while u pass tiramisu to mi. hehehehe I wanted to get a tree too! Those full height ones with lots of leaves. hehehe.. But decided not to when I tink of all the arm aching work to paste the tree. hehehehe

Hahahahah~ Next time ur fren will look back at her reno time and have a good laugh. Everyday spot checks are good for those with irresponsible ID/contractors. But other then tat, I think dun need to. Hee, those 2 bottles almost till expiry date liao, so still dun feel so heart pain. But now I dun really wana buy a big bottle just to make alittle dessert. Very wasted. Choya still ok, cuz I'll drink that quite often with green tea. U know, I saw a raspberry and apricot brandy recently, and was so tempted to buy those 2 bottles. Can make fruit compote, jellies and other desserts with them. But also duno if will use them often enough to justify buying them. Hehe, in the end didn't buy. Wait my fridge all also liqueurs and no space for other stuff. Wah~ Sounds nice leh. Can't wait to see the pics after u stick them on. Tink ur paris decal will look very cool in the bathroom.
-
Wah ur ID Glad to hear that there is some1 like her taking care of ur reno. I tried both b4. Love baileys and used to have like 2 bottles of baileys in fridge. But always can't fin cuz I'm the only one who drinks it. So b4 shifting house, I threw them away and didn't buy till now loh. As for kahlua, nah, it's not my cup of tea. Yah man, see them make very easy. And it seems really very fun to churn pasta out with the pasta machine. Nice decals u've got there. Think they make a place look more interesting.

Nah, mostly lazy to post watever I've baked. Cuz if I always upload pics of wat I bake, I'll need to do it every week leh, cuz I try to bake every weekend. I'll post the recipe here first. Maybe go home and search for my pics. 1 cup of milk does not equal to 1 cup of flour in density, as their density is different. Even different types of flour may weigh different. Hehe, I've learnt that the easiest thing to do is to buy those measuring cups that will indicate the amount in cups. U know, the measuring spoons that will measure teaspoons and tablespoons? There are measuring cups that will measure in 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 and 1 cup. So there's no need to convert into grams. For conversion, take a look at this. There are many other such tables online. Just do a search for it.

Char Wah~ Ur cookies look good loh. Can't believe it's for doggies. Lucky them. But then hor, they can eat peanut butter arh? I tot peanut butter should be quite high in salt, and dogs can't eat them? Hehe, maybe can try to make those light japanese cheesecake in durian flavour. That way, the cheese won't be too overpowering. U mean oatmeal cookies? I have a oatmeal raisins cookie recipe. Very good. Hb and his colleagues all sae taste like subway's oatmeal raisin cookie. U wan?
-
wat an idiot~ Think if it's his own house he won't leave it so wet. Sometimes really can't stand the workers, they won't care about other pple's house. Think u're rite to go and tell the main ID, so that ur ID can remind the workers. Nope, dun like kahlua. Only like baileys. Hehe, if u're a coffee and choc lover, tink u'll like kahlua. Alamak, I know that one! About the 3 korean chefs rite? I always forget to watch that. Yupz, mi know tiramisu dun involve baking (unless u bake the sponge fingers urself). But still considered as dessert therefore I just included it into baking/cooking mah. Hee, okok, will try with brandy if I ever buy that.
