  1. Just a quick update... Most of the glass works are up. Shower screen, kitchen glass panel and door, kitchen cabinet glass backsplash as well as the dining mirror. Some pics. Tinted mirror at dining area Kitchen cabinet backsplash Glass panel and swing door at kitchen entrance. With the glass works up, the remaining things to do are doors, wallpaper for MBR TV feature wall and general cleaning! Thinking of installing window grille **** area cos with the raised platform near the window, seems a bit dangerous. Any nice pic of window grille that wouldn't make me feel like prisoner?
  2. Anyone installed panel curtain? Any pics to share with us?
  3. Limestone? Doesn't sound too durable to me... but I guess the technology is getting more advance lately.
  4. We bought ours at Indulge Bathroom. Not sure what is the after disc price cos the disc is a lump sum discount off the total bill (15% + 7% GST waiver). Single piece meaning the water closet and the seating portion is connected. Less joints = easier to clean I think it is indeed a bit more ex. But we have a 15% off total bill + 7% GST waiver in the end. So, should be okay bah...
  5. hey, anyone knows where could I find a good selection of mini-fridge? Not the kind of mini fridge for bar counter but those which are about the size of a bar fridge. Intend to use it to put my skincare products. My previous one which is a free gift from newspaper subscription is spoilt.
  6. I ordered Bosch Logixx 8 Sensitive front load washer. Like this brand which is recommended by my MIL and my hubby's aunties.
  7. We bought the Ariston FZ62 C.1 IX (catalytic self cleaning oven) at $850 and SO 100 IX (steam oven) at $1450. Recommended by my colleague used Ariston oven as well. Have not tried out yet though...
  8. i think you should simply replace it. A normal bi-fold door is only about $200. Better than repair and then after a while the same problem resurface. Timber and water don't go well together...
  9. I think you should look for another one.
  10. My ID quoted me $500 for the swing door.
  11. For master bathroom, your budget should be achievable. The most expensive part will be the wall tile. Easily about $1.2k - $1.3k. Floor tiles with waterproofing is $500. Installing WC, basin and accessories will be about $150. If with tempered glass shower screen will be $500. For kitchen, can cut back on the cost by not doing wall tiles. Can overlay existing tiles with plastering and painting. If doing wall tiling, will be $2k plus. Floor tile with waterproofing $1k. Kitchen cabinet (with solid surface) will be about $160-$180 per foot run. Replacing water pipes about $600-700. Install kitchen sink and tap will be about $100. Cost of painting is about there. Wiring itself could come up to around $2k, including the lighting points and power points (excluding cost of lightings).
  12. Will post some pics after the bathroom accessories are up next week. Bedframe photos. After walking tons and tons of furniture shops, we couldn't find one bedframe that both me and BigAngel like. We finally found our simple and nice bedframe with night table at Santuary Dian showroom. Will be meeting Karen next weekend to see the detailed drawing.
  13. More photos... Master Bedroom seatee area with the hanging light... only left a curtain to dress up the window. Considering either a roman blind or roller blind. Master bedroom view taken from the entrance of the room. The two triangle ledge is for our DVD and Starhub setup box. Notice that little thickness from the wall? It is a feature wall erect to conceal the window leading to the aircon ledge. A tic-tac door is there for access when necessary. Master bathroom - the basin, tap and other accessories will be fixed early next week. Looking forward to see all the shiny items up. A close-up view... The wardrobe at the study room.
  14. Just came back from our flat. Some photos on the current state of the place. Foyer area - a piece of bronze mirror is removed for replacement. Still lack the pebblewash. Dinning area with the lights up - the space seems a bit small though... Close-up of the dining light. Kitchen - the wet area. Can't wait to peel off the protective film of the hood to see the real thing. Still need to put up the glass back splash. Chose white colour to brighten up the place. Kitchen - that's the walking space left after putting up two rows of facing top&bottom cabinet. Luckily still not too narrow.
  15. The glass door not yet ready. Just finished the carpentry work. Starting the glass work soon. Will post the picture at my T-blog once it is installed.
  16. Thanks! I am actually quite worried that the black granite would make the place looks dull... luckily it has got the shine and sparkle... It's from licht studio along Balestier Road. 592A Balestier Road
  17. Actually the expensive part of Blum product is its drawers and hydraulic hinge. The prices of the stoppers and hinges are quite okay. You must post some pics of your kitchen when it is done!
  18. Only a photo to share on the work-in-progress... will take more during this weekend =) A 90% completed kitchen cabinet... still lacking of the glass backing as well as lightings... Luckily the black galaxy does not turn out too dark for the kitchen.
  19. My ID just updated me on the pricing of the Blum product. Share with all of you... Stopper: $3 + GST Hinge: $5 + GST Drawer S1 (84mm height): $65.33/pc Drawer S2 (135mm height): $73.57/pc Drawer S3 (204mm heigh): $83.47/pc
  20. But I do have friends who used soft closing mechanism from many other brands but eventually come back Blum. I think this brand does have an edge in terms of quality.
  21. Actually if cost is not a concern, I would prefer granite too. At least scratches are less obvious.
  22. The cost for my 5ft vanity is $1430 (excluding basin). - Solid surface $400 - Suspended vanity cabinet in laminate finishes $500 - To supply and install light pelmet $280 - To supply and install wall to wall mirror $250
  23. I can't survived without a ceiling fan! It is the best ventilating fan among the rest. Does not take up floor space. Easy to clean since only 3 to 5 blades to wipe. If you don't like the look of ceiling fan, get a simple design in white to blend into the white ceiling.
  24. Congrats! Your place is really nicely done up. When are you shifting in?
