Lighting Plates on Floor / Wall

Hi members, I was told by my main con that I should not be covering such Lighting Plates on Floor / Wall with tiles.

Is this true? I do know many owners who cover these up with tiles but it doesn't seem to be a recommended method by my main con

These are grounding points. By right not supposed to cover. Of cos you can do what you want as long as you are willing to take the risk and need to hack and expose them in future
