Defect Checklist

Recommended Posts

Haloz,

I need some suggestion...I've not decided on my ID thus cant bring any professional up to help me with the defect list. As this is my first house, i've totally no clue what i should look out for.

Can someone share their defect list with me? I need to report by 6 Nov...

:) Advance thanks...

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

welcome to renotalk and compassvale :)

there are a number of things that should be checked

1. all wall and floor tiles for cracks, hollowness or other defects (anything that you feel is unacceptable)

2. all taps and fixtures for signs of rust, corrosion

3. all walls for cracks, holes and uneven-ness

4. all switches for ease of switching on

5. all electrical sockets for electricity supply - bring a small portable electrical item to test

6. all doors can be opened, closed and locked with ease, and no sign of rust/corrosion on the knobs

that's all i can think of right now

others will definitely add on to the list

btw, which cluster did you book?

is it the compassvale green cluster?

hi evisu,

great to see another compassvale neighbour.

Think get your family to go round the rooms with you. Parents may be more observant than us, who may be a little slipshot or chin chye....

then just bring a digicam to take some pics to feedback to your HDB technical officer in charge of your block.

All of e defect list are excellent and i've a pretty good idea how to check the defect list.

Applefreak- Erh, wat do u mean by which cluster? I've no clue.. mine is @ 299B ..urs?

Josfoo, Compassvale- Do ur develop the defect pictures to show e technical officer OR i can juz show him my camera pics?

i still feel that 1 week deadline is kinda of rush for everything.. :bangwall:

you should put aside three months for the rectification process

mine took longer and they still 'owe' me two toilets i.e. the defects in the toilets are still outstanding :dribble:
