I've use both brands before, I find Electrolux quality are better interm of electronic. However, I can tell you that you must look for a machine that will swtich off after washing or drying, this can safe some power consumption. I known Electrolux equipped with this feature. Brandt also ok if you want a simple and does the washing, it's still a good assistance. There a lot washer with many many features but eventually you'll be using 1 or 2 function only. In the end may go for the Brandt has it has a bigger capacity dryer.5kg should be ok, unless you've a lot to dry or you need to dry Comforter, Just note that Dryer consumed a lot of electricity..just like Air-con..
