Hi

I am not quite familiar with April, but do familiar with his husband Sam of the same company. Quotation is not the cheapest but is of very sincere personality. My friend engaged him for his 4 room HDB preimum flat at the cost around $12k. Works include kitchen capentry, vanity cabinets for both bathrooms, painting, installation of lights and whole-house grills. The only potential problem is that Sam is quite busy and hence the progress would be a bit slow.

I belive April would be the as better as her husband Sam because they sometimes give a hand on the work of the other party.

I remember JGH has a promotion package for resale flats, which should be $17188 for your 4 room flat. Moveover, the 20ft kitchen cabinet with this package is at $1688. You can compare whether it is cheaper to go for package. Some of the items that you don't want can be taken out of the package. For example, I remember I took out the windows and grills and refunded around $1650. The promotion package also allows you to choose parquet or laminate at the same price. But if I choose Supreme or Inovar, need to top-up $142.80, as Sam (her husband) told me

Your LG surface is at 110/ft? Are you choosing a dark color one? FYI, I and my friend got LG quotation from Sam at 95/ft without mentioning the color. I learned from other IDs that dark color one is more expensive, don't know true or not.

Another thing to remember is that small accessories from JGH are not high-end ones. For example, the laminate door of the kitchen cabinet is not TEAK one. If you go for branded TEAK one, should add another $10/ft. As Sam told me, the usage is the same, and hence he didn't suggest TEAK which is more expensive.

For 2 layer dish tray, Sam quoted me and my friend separately at $90. My quotation of the swing door wardrobe at master bedroom is $180/ft, but can barely use glass decroation.

Sam didn't quote me the electronic item "Submission for PUB & testing". The test seems to cost a few hundard dollars as I was told by an Idea House guy.

I also learned from another post in the forum that the tiling work of JGH is quite good, but plumbing work is just above average. My own observation is that their capentry work is also fair.

These data is for your reference where you can bargan with her, but pls don't quote it directly as a whole to April which may cause me awkard next time I see Sam.

Yoz,

Its been a while since my last post.

I have just got my keys to my flat. The house looks very Big as it is empty =P.

I have also engage my contractor which is from JGH. Although her quote is not the lowest but i feel very comfortable with her hence we selected her.

We will only be starting our reno in early oct as we wants to take our pre-wedding pics in the house during the reno process(just after the hacking).

For the mean time, we will be testing some drawing on the walls. We will be drawing and painting on the wall before the reno starts.

So ... Pls stay tune for more pics.

Jeremy
