Aircon Trunking

Recommended Posts

Today I called up a guy from aircon co to suggest trunking layout for my unit.

There is a beam between my two bedrooms. The trunking will pass through the wall just below the beam then turn up (abt 2-3 inches to run over the beam), as there is door on the other side.

He suggested it is OK to have the water drain pipe (return) to turn UP abt 2 to 3 inches.

What I had in mind that the water drain pipe should be at a slope always. If it turn UP, there will always be a pool of water in the pipe.

Any comments?

Its shouldn't be a prob if the drainage outlet from ur air-con blower is at least 4inches higher than the up turn... Most of the HDB flats have tis prob.... Its wiser for u to do servicing of the drain pipe anually by the professionals... (To pump the excess water off to avoid chokage)

Thx for clarification.

I was worried how the water will flow out if there is an UP turn. Now atleast 2-3 inches should be fine enough.
