Bay window ledge is laminate with verneer finishing. For cushions, probably can buy to put here rather than fixed to the ledge.

You should be able to get the pole hangers from most hardware (五金) shops.

Mondi is under Star Furniture Group. The things that I bought are on promotion.

Work done for 15 May 2009 (carpentry):

Dresser with tic-tac door besides the wardrobe

IMG_0285.jpg

IMG_0286.jpg

TV console (still lacking mirror and a round of polish)

IMG_0287.jpg

IMG_0289.jpg

For those doing TV console, need to take into consideration thickness of frame and sliding tray.

For example, my console is 25cm but maximam height of devices is only 12cm due to frame and removable sliding tray.

2 x Shoe cabinets for wife's shoes only :P (mine will be in the mini-store near the main door)

Had asked for 1 more shelves for the lower portion

Had a talk with the contractor yesterday.

Gonna shift the display cabinets to the other wall.

Else the entrance is "too busy"..got shoe cabinets and display cabinets.

Original placement (pic taken on 05 May 09):

Today, gonna hack again to shift the light points of display cabinets to the adjacent wall.

Will delay schedule a few days for this....

Hi Ocheeng,

Saw that your tv console is using 2 glass panels for the flap-down. I am planning for my tv console and wondering if using the glass panel will allow me to use the remote controls for those devices without having to flap-down.

Care to share your thoughts? :D

Hi Rasp,

I had my concerns about the infra-red remote controls too.

My contractor assured me that they have tested and no problem.

If it does not work well, I will get him to change :P

for your white tv console, is it in laminate or veneer? if its laminate, is the joint lines very obvious?

thinking of doing my tv console in white too but when house viewing, saw that those white tv consoles have very thick and black joint lines....

Mine is laminate. Non-black laminate joint lines are like that one lor. I don't mind lah knowing the limitation of laminates.

But my wife did complained to the contractor. Not sure what will he do.
