Stove Must Be Higher Than Sink (or Vice Versa)

Recommended Posts

Hi Gary,

Could you zoom into the kitchen and draw the stove location?

If the location of the stove is still not fixed, do avoid the areas on the left side.

If you dont mind waiting, I can put in the compass into the centre of the kitchen when I'm back in office tonight... That should determine for you which sector of the kitchen your stove can be in.

Hope it helps.

:)

haha it is right at the left side as shown... i juz have to accept the fact! :-(

Hi Gary,

Take a look at the below picture... if your stove is in the correct position, try to use the left burner rather than the right burner if you have to cook.

I hope this helps. If you need additional help on the rest of the house, you can PM me.

Thank you.

fair enuff on the gua portion kekeke...

but anyway, the rules to follow on the stove placement would be,

1. no stove in the NW sector( 天门 )

2. no stove to be directly facing the door.

3. 2 feets of clearance between the stove and sink is minimum criteria...

pls correct me if im wrong or add on if i have missed something... :)

Hi,

Just wish to check is there a difference between NW Sector and NW direction?

If the kitchen area happens to be in NW Sector of the house.. but the stove is position facing West.

So it consider resolve the bad situation?

Like the diagram below..

Hi Doremon2009,

From your kitchen floorplan, I would recommend that you micro into the kitchen, and determine the location of your stove on a micro scale.

If the stove is in the east sector of the kitchen as you mentioned, then the layout is fine.

Thank you.

Hi

Seems like your question is not answered to the point or being avoided. Let me try.

Yes, base on the house alone, there is a difference between NW sector and NW direction. This is the understanding of "Big Tai Ji" and "small tai ji". As long as the kichen is located at the NW, it is NW. Doesn't matter where it face.
