Stainless Steel Or Glass Backing For The Kitchen Oven?

Can i find out which is better? Stainless Steel or Glass Backing for the kitchen oven? Coz restaurant kitchens would usually use stainless steel, but the many I.Ds which i have met up with say that using glass is a better choice.

Advise from anyone pls? If using glass, what if the glass backing cracks & breaks due to accidents? so is stainless steel backing a better choice or not?
