Since its a 2-man show, it doesnt really matter who is the in-charge i guess.

I think they are more focused on the furniture store than renovation.

They just opened a new showroom at Genting Lane recently.

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, and currently waiting for quotations from Projectfile...

Another else to feedback n comment on them?

I like the way they use raw wood in their design...

cheers

I too used them for my house renovation. They are simply overpriced. Not only that, their workmanship is very bad, they are really slow with a really bad attitude! I really regret engaging them because it turned out to be a lousy experience.

Komme, who is your id? Yeah I liked them very much before we signed... But they just couldn't deliver what they promised. And they made many mistakes.

i had a bad experience with them too. defects were not fixed promptly and the entire renovation dragged on for months.

he wasn't very responsive to our calls and emails too. now our cupboard doors are warping.

there were also alot of other issues which will take me days to tell.

just be careful about posting comments here as he confronted my friend who complained about him on a forum. he thinks the friend caused him to lose a potential client and became very hostile. the 1 year warranty after work completion was also not honoured.

Was wondering is Prozfile another arm of Project File or a sister firm. My link It claims to be helm by a couple Roy Poh and Cadine Lim. And correct me if I am wrong, I think they might have worked for Project File before. Anyone knows ? Liked their designs, thinking of going to them for a consult but if it's the same firm then the numerous not so great reviews is making me rethink of going

Hi all,

Would like to share my experience with Prozfile. May not be representative but do be careful. Apparently they set up last year only and I have just finished settling with them in small claims tribunal. They split from Project File for some management differences so already there's some problems there.

Even after the whole experience and talking with Cadine, who is my young designer's boss, I must say they can talk but can't deliver. Every fault is blamed on the owner, subcontractor and building structure but until now no apology or remorse I see for delayed works, inconvenience and safety compromised, and delineation from works discussed. I think read some post also there's this same problem where they are slow and you are the one calling them and chasing them which I experienced too. Even touch-up works took 1 and half months and only 2 parts of 3 room hdb is being renovated. Friends who have dealt with renovation for 20 years plus were shocked at the progress and lack of knowledge when visited during renovation. Just when I think it's all over the neighbour downstairs complained about leaking, so they do all sorts of short term remedies to fix it. Then they withhold warranty until final payment which I refuse to pay because that time I just moved in even movers and furniture guys say the place is not moveable condition. She says that her designer can learn from this experience and grow from it as a better man. Don't know whether to laugh or cry because I am no guinea pig and no one wants their home to be put through this experimental mess. My last words to them were to take better care of their clients but I think this has fallen on deaf ears with more interruptions to counter and less listening on their part. Even the registrar pointed out they admitted their mistake yet she does not answer his questions. I'm sure if I push to go hearing they cmi given they forget to bring documents for the consultation stage.

Please watch out for unprofessional companies that quote very high and talk a lot of shop. Better to go for contractor bring you down to earth. Don't assume that ID is like wedding planner will take care of everything swee swee. Pm me for more details.

Hi

Just wanted to share my experience with this company Project File (now in Rangoon Road). The initial service had been good and interesting designs. I was not served by Alan but by two of his staff.

All was good until they started the work. The contractors (carpentry, wet works) they use is from Malaysia and have very low standards. Even after i highlight it to them, PF have the nerve to tell me its like that because its hand made. This is the 3rd house I have renovated and have not seen such poor quality or indifference by a contractor.

There we so many defects after the work was completed and all they do was use touch-up paint to conceal scratches, dents, etc. Wood doors all warp after 6months and I have to get another contractor to repair their poor quality if work. A lot of their designs in practicality was terrible. They also recommended a lot of electrical works, which now on hind sight I think was a waste and just a way for them to increase the total cost. When ever I suggest something or know where to source something, they would say it doesn't go with the design or that its better to use their own suppliers.

They keep insisting on collecting money even though the work is incomplete. In the end it became very frustrating to deal with them as they did not want to do anymore rectification. This is the worst contractor/ID I have ever come across and I feel the value of the work they did would only cost 30-50% lower anywhere else.

So if you plan to use Project File, beware and do your own homework. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Please stay away from this company, Project File along at Rangoon Road. My friend had a very bad experience with their so called "interior design" company. They only look good on the outside, but in fact are they really just an empty shell.Their so call design do not make sense and are not practical. Their workmanship are terrible and they are really super slow in their work. They acted like they totally understand what you want but the outcome can be totally different. The whole renovation turned out to be an nightmare. When they had collected most of their payment, there will be 'no-show' from them when you want them to rectify any issue. They are just terrible!!!!!!!!!
