from HDB

After the first appointment

Both buyer and seller must agree to the cancellation of the resale application and submit a written request to HDB for the cancellation. This cancellation, however, does not necessarily mean the Option to Purchase becomes void.

In the case of a dispute, both parties will have to consult their own private solicitors.

======================

Seller or buyer cannot 1 side cancel the deal after first appointment.

Either side can sue either side for the lose.

My son's tutor buys one, sole seller passed away after 1st appt, seller's relatives wanted to cancel transaction. Tutor insisted the sale, went to court. Tutor won.

Does it worth it to sue him?

Ask him to return 1 mth deposit and your "fine" to him. Then move on.
