Has Anyone Used 3m Prestige Film For Their Windows?

I'm thinking of using 3M Prestige film for my kitchen windows cos of west sun.

Is it really effective in blocking the sun ray & cooling the room?

Advertisement stated that with the film, there's no need for curtains or blinds.

Is it true?

Does anyone have any experience with it?
