Buying A Hdb After Divorce

Recommended Posts

Intend to get a 3room after divorce, however, has some doubts.

1) Am I still entitled to have HDB loan or only through Bank loan?

2) If selling in a lost, do i have to pay levy back if to get a 3room?

3) If selling with some profit (Cash), do i have to pay levy back if to get a 3room?

4) What is the market rate of COV now (near MRT or not near MRT)

1] If you have only taken 1 HDB loan, you are allowed to take 1 more

2] Not likely to sell at a loss at current moment

3] If you are taking a 2nd HDB loan, you're required to use part of your cash proceeds from the sale to pay for your new HDB flat

4] $20k - $50k (depending on location)

2 & 3) If you plan to take grant for the resale 3rm HDB and your previous HDB is a direct or subsidised HDB. Yes, you need to pay levy regardless is selling grant or loss. HDB don't care whether you has profit or not. They only go by their "book"

read this Resale levy

Base on my understanding resale levy is pay by CASH

Read Eligibility To Buy

Divorce single , only can buy HDB if above 35 yrs old . Under Single Singapore Citizen Scheme

Divorce with children, can buy under Conversion Scheme and provided the child is under your legal custody, care and control

For the COV, depend on area
