Could Hdb Still Rejects My Resale Application?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just went to my HDB first appointment yesterday.

We already got our second appointment date.

We did not encounter any problems only that we were honest and told the officer abt my husband change of job and gave her together with the new company appointment letter.

The HDB officer doesn't seems friendly and also did not asked much abt it.

We wanted to explain to her that we had asked/called the finance officer in charge of our loan prior to our first appointment n he said that if the new salary is the same or higher, it shld be no problem. My husband pay is slight more only. But she did not say anythg and proceed to other documents for us to sign n everything went on very fast.

My only worries is that the clause in one of the letter states that the loan is subject to approval only if the jobs remain unchanged same like HLE.. but the officer only asked us to sign beside it?

Would HDB still rejects my application now aft we went through the first appointment?

Very worried leh...

IMO, I don't think it will be an issue.

The new job salary is slightly more than the previous job. Should not be a problem.

usually in such instances, ie. job changes in the middle of a loan application, the concern of the loan provider is not so much as in the salary change, but rather the stability of the job, and whether the applicant is able to keep up the repayments as his earning power is not stable, ie. no confirmed in the new job yet.

cos even if his new salary is double of his previous, it wldn't mean anything to the loan provider if he doesn't stay in the job beyond the probation period. supposing they grant the loan based on the previous salary level, and he changes job again within the next 3 mths due to whatever reason, and that new job now pays him lower than the job he held when he first applied for the loan, wldn't the loan provider then be exposed to a higher risk of non-payment of the monthly repayment? Borrower may not be able to meet the repayments due to a lower salary now.
