chungster 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2010 Hi everyone! It's our first time posting here.. Must say that renotalk is a fantastic forum for all new home owners who wish to get the best deals. We've learnt a lot here and so we are here to put our experience into writing so that fellow forumers will benefit.. Our renovation started way back on Sep 16.. It's been a long 3 months.. Things have progressed slowly but steadily and we are expecting the end of reno to be this coming weekend.. Hurray:) Today, Jimmy (the boss of Jimmy Textiles, Joo Chiat complex ) came down personally to take the measurements for our curtains. He's a friendly and approachable guy. We are going to make 6 panels of curtains -- all are going to be full height curtains. What we like about him and his shop is the variety of material that he has. He also offers us good advice on the type of cloth to use and on color combination. Overall we feel the the service that he provides is good value for money! Installation will be next wk.. Will post pictures of my curtains once they are installed. In the subsequent posts, I will be going thru my reno journey..so stay tuned:)

I was at Singapore Expo yesterday too, looking for suitable materials - night and day curtains. So far, I am unable to find an 'integrated' one-stop shop who has the materials - colors and designs - meeting my taste for whole house! One of them has nice 'Day' curtains, but he does not carry wide range of night curtains, so my choice is limited. So far, I have went to 2 shops at Toa Payoh, one at Whampoa, and one at Jurong West....headache... Let me check it out what material Jimmy has......
