Hi,

Hear some story about someone who stays in a landed house whose TV was shorted out during a lighting thunderstorm.

Do you know what need to be done to prevent this? Is this a lightning conductor issue or a circuit breaker issue, or is it a earth leakage issue?

Airbases' radar and comm equipment also shorted. Footballer in the middle of field also "shorted" to death. All these happened during lightning thunderstorm. It is a "surge arrestor" issue. It is also a grounding problem, especially on top of mountain with dry soil. Earthing copper rods have to be buried deep with mineral salts added.
