THE Housing and Development Board (HDB) is launching three Build-To-Order (BTO) projects today in Bukit Batok and Yishun, saying on Tuesday it had ramped up flat supply to meet demand from first-timer households.

The three projects - Golden Daisy in Bukit Batok, Orchid Spring @ Yishun and Vista Spring @ Yishun, will offer a combined total of 1,728 flats, comprising 180 Studio Apartments, 192 units of 2-room, 252 units of 3-room, 828 units of 4-room and 276 units of 5-room flats. 95 per cent of the flat supply (excluding Studio Apartments) will be set aside for First-Timer households.

Golden Daisy, along Bukit Batok Street 21, will have 180 Studio Apartments, with prices ranging from $83,000 to $118,000. It will be served by facilities like Bukit Batok MRT station and West Mall shopping centre.

Orchid Spring @ Yishun, along Yishun Avenue 11, has 948 units of new flats, comprising 192 units of 2-room, 252 units of 3-room and 504 units of 4-room flats. A child care centre will be provided in this precinct.

Adjacent to Orchid Spring @ Yishun and bounded by Yishun Avenue 1 and Yishun Street 41 is Vista Spring @ Yishun, with 600 standard flats comprising 324 units of 4-room and 276 units of 5-room flats. There will be an eating house, a mini-mart, shops and a Residents' Committee Centre. Both projects will be served by Yishun MRT station and Northpoint Shopping Centre. Prices range from $93,000 for a 2-room flat and $292,000 for a 5-room flat.

HDB plans to offer up to 22,000 new flats under BTO in 2011 if demand continues, which would be a 24 per cent increase over last year's 17,700 flats launched for sale. Applications for the new flats can be submitted online from Tuesday (Jan 25) to Monday (Feb 7).
