Assemble in Germany or some developing country? The made in EEC Ariston washer cum dryer my in law gave as a house warming gift 8 years ago is still serving me very well. It has only broken down once during the first year, the technician came over the next day, took the circuit board out and brush it under running water while i watch in horror, then dry it using hair dryer, put it back and the washer is all good. I will be bringing it with me to my new house in March 2012, just need to change a new set of rubber sleeve. Shouldnt cost more than $140 even with prevailing GST rate.EDITED TO ADD: I will be bringing my "Goldstar" 2 doors fridge to my new house too. Goldstar is the old brand name for "LG"; you should know how old is that fridge. My 8 years old Sony 32" LCD TV simply refuse to die on me, guess that also will join me in my new house.
