Kim Tian Green Dollhouse

Recommended Posts

Got my keys in early April, and only started shopping for IDs then. But pretty quickly settled on my ID Don and got down to business on planning and applied for screeding for my bedrooms. Started at the end of April.

Since budget was a constraint, only kitchen cabinets, a wardrobe and another cabinet for toys was custom made, in addition to a bay window storage. Main bedroom and the adjoining room were combined. Living room and a spare room was not touched.

We decided not to go with a set theme since it is going to be limiting. But we did try to make sure colours do not clash, cos we'd have to live with the eye sore for a long time haha.

As of this moment (june) furniture has not been bought/decided. Have some ideas in mind but still shopping around.

Here is a copy of the floorplan:

This is what my kitchen will look like:

Doll cabinet. I like that I got drawings instead of 3D renderings. These are all hand drawn:

This week carpentry has commenced. Was pleasantly surprised to see my kitchen almost completed. Kitchen is supposed to represent the beach (kitchen floor tiles) and the sky (blue glass top cabinets). The corner casement doors are not up yet I think because have to install 180 degree hinges. I was anal about being able to access the corners of the cabinet because I do not want to waste any space and yet I want easy access. Flirted with the idea of having a single double hinged door (oxymoron huh?), lazy susan racks and a built in drawer in the corner but finally settled on the hinged door.

Rounded corner for kitchen cabinet which I insisted on haha

Hi neighbour,

We have the same exact layout, except I noticed that you have a pipe hanging down from your kitchen ceiling which I don't.

What's your reno budget like?

Hi spikedoll,

Thanks, huat ah!! :D

Hey neighour, yours should have that pipe also right? Unless you got top floor or covered by your cabinets?

Just reno alone without electrical fittings I try to keep below $25k. :)

Oh I see, I'm on the top floor that's why I don't have that pipe, haha.

My ID covered the top of the kitchen wall with cabinets, here's a pic of my setup.

You are so lucky! We also want to purchase the same fridge. Is the price after or before GST?

Hi salad and applepie,

Price is inclusive of GST. Comes with a rice cooker. Best Denki selling for $1199.

Model of tv is UA-40ES6200MXXS

I went today and they had installed lights! All my lights are the same, with LED/T5 combo. I don't want pendant lights cos I don't want the hassle of cleaning.
