A "scandustrial" Concept ~ Sengkang Ea

Recommended Posts

My carpenters helped to box-up the LED driver inside the cabinet. the box-up can be removed if need to change the driver by unscrewing the screws that fasten the box-up to the cabinet.

The LED strip is then connected to a driver which our electrician housed in on of the top cabinets. Hope this helps!

Some random pics from around the house:

This is how the edison bulbs look when the dining pendant lights are switched on. The light produced is alot more orange than the rest of the lights in the house, but I guess that makes for a very cosy dinner atmosphere when guests come over.

Decided to paint over the existing gate and main door from white to yellow and brown to charcoal respectively. Now our house is easily identifiable to visitors - we just have to tell them "it's the one with the yellow gate". It's unmistakable! :jammin:

Not very clear, but here is the latest arrangement in our living room display cum bar counter. Nespresso machine up! :notti:

Our MBR has also finally been painted white - looks awesome with the gold handles and hinges if you ask me.

Updated Toilet Pics

It was very hard to see the black floors in previous pics. Now that the space has been cleaned up, here is a better look at our toilets! Still lamenting the smallness of the toilets, but we really don't have a choice. Blame it on HDB's design back in the day. Modern HDB flat toilets are so much bigger and sensible!

Master Bedroom Pics

This is by far our favourite part of the house. It's where we will spend 1/3 of our lives anyway, though most of it unconscious. haha

Our Samsung TV has been set up and you can see our walk in wardrobe beyond that (now with clothes). When it's time for bed, we usually close off the WIW so that there will not be cool air leaking out of our sleeping area, thereby saving some electricity.

Thanks for the pics! That looks very neat without wires going everywhere or having to create a special box up for the wires.. Will try to look for the stick-on type of LED strip. I assume that we have to get our contractor to leave a lighting point for that? Thanks!

Great to hear from you fsuz! And thanks for the support.

Here is how the under cabinet LED strip lighting is installed:

The LED strip light comes in a roll depending on the length that you buy. Ours came with a sticker backing which made installation very easy - just stick it in place. Our contractor got the LED strip light for us so I'm not to sure where to get it from!

hi hellonub, managed to take a few pics of our flooring yesterday which you can check out below. The colour is definitely uneven but it adds to the raw look and beauty of cement screed. If you like the look of cement screed, this is definitely a tile to consider!

most welcome. Yes definitely get your contractor/electrician to leave a lighting point! That's the most important actually haha.

Hi, Still hopping to see the review on the robot... :jammin:

I've meaning to test it out too, but having trouble since all the instructions and voices are in Korean :curse:

Will get hold of an English manual and finally put it to work.

Definitely haven't forgotten about this!
