Hi brobear

Wow. Your comments on Roy are about the worst that I have seen thus far in all 6 pages on "Inzen". No offense but are you sure you are talking about the same Roy Tan?

Roy is currently doing up my place at Punggol and the reno is more or less completed. While he and his work are certainly not perfect, me and my wife are pretty happy with what he have done for us thus far. For anything that we are not satisfied with, he always try his best to sort it out without giving any lame excuses.

For example, on Sunday (6th) we spotted a tiny imperfection on our kitchen glass backsplash and as usual we stick a yellow memo pad on it. Our intention was only to ask him if it can be cleaned or wiped off or even sprayed over. As it was a pretty small flaw at the corner, I was already prepared to live with it. However, before we can meet up with him on site to discuss today, he already got his glass work supplier to remove the entire glass backsplash when we reach our place.

If anyone think that I am Roy in disguise, pls feel free to email me (kevinlimcs@gmail.com) or give me a ring (9750 3938) I will be more than happy to show you my place. I am not as active here as I am in punggol forum. Pictures of my place can be found in the 'Treelodge' Reno Pictures thread. Although I intend to start my T-Blog here real soon. Hopefully I dun procrestinate !!!

Just sharing my experience. Peace.

cheers

Hi Dante, could you please pm me Roy's details? thanks!

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and based on information shared by all, I've read good staff about Roy and have met up with him twice. Nice guy and very responsive.

My dilemma is that my hubby is keen to hire our previous ID (more like contractor) who provides good carpentary but expensive and minimum ID. I am keen to go with Roy based on the postive reviews for designs and follow ups and my own discussions with him. I will need to gather some assurance that his creation (e.g. for carpentary works and tiling) is here to last.

Anyone knows anyone that has their hse done up by Roy 3 years again? Care to share the experience?

Many many thanks in advance!!

Cheer!!

Roy is close to signing a contract with. But out of his carpentry chk n tiles must decide the other labor 1st b4. The offer is one of the more, the resolution, but its low overhead costs, so I guess because. Dun it really have a showroom for his company, he has only ID n n companionship of her more as a consultant with anyway, an experienced contractor, acting as I see it. But of course, that is, it probably has 9 years experience in the hands of as much information as is typical of the identity of the market.

Hi wyn52

Unfortunately you will have to convince your hubby to have a go with Roy.

As for whether his carpentry work will last, I am unable to comment as my reno by him just finished :good:

cheers

Hi everyone,

Our 4A flat in Choa Chu Kang was completed in January 2011 by IR Design! A bit delayed but guess it's high time we post some comments on this site where we found out about Roy.

We're overall quite pleased with the results and what we've achieved with the budget.

Good points abt IR design:

-Responsive and responsible contractor with a strong team of sub-contractors! This is more impt than it seems, since they're the ones doing the work.

- Price quoted was the most reasonable out of the 3-4 queries we made.

- Good after service, Roy just came down today to help fix something for us, and now it's working well and good!

- Gave good suggestions on what would work in real life, v experienced

- We love our island concept kitchen and tv console that can be swung around. ..Appreciate that Roy went an extra mile to conceptualise the whole thing for us. I think other IDs might charge more for the extra work.

Things that can be improved on:

- 3D Renderings! It took us very long to sort this out as he sub contracted this out and the designer really really cannot make it. Got me v worried that we made a grave decision confirming our reno w him.

Much better after Roy sat down and stretched out more decent stuff in pencil and traditional magic pens :) But still, need to provide your own ideas as Roy is a more experienced contractor than ID. We wanted modern retro, and it wasn't easy getting it across to him

- the company is small, so don't expect Roy to be everywhere all the time. If he's busy, u have to wait.

- checking on some of the details and keeping us informed about the completion status... some chasing has to be done and clarified as we didn't know what to expect next

Overall, we are happy with Roy's services! Hope his business will grow so he has more money for his 3 cute children!

Here are some pictures for you to see the completed house for yourselves! These were taken before some of the furniture came in.

Hi,

Very nice home, the colours used are very bright and cheerful. Do you mind sharing with me Roy's contact?

Thanks in advance.
