My Castle In The Air

Recommended Posts

So long no updates, I don't even know where to start!

We have been busy solving issues such as....

This nice basin, which we will have to forgo :~

IMG_7172.jpg

Due to this issue, the bottom of the basin will block our drainage pipe. We only had 2 solutions for this.

1) Cut a gap for the pipe (something which I didn't wanna risk this costly basin shattering to pieces)

2) Exchange for a suitable basin

IMG_7171.jpg

So our new basin will look like this, something simple and practical

On the same day, the vinyl tile was completed

We've also painted our gate and door black, away with the ugly HDB colours!

We managed to confirm a nice sofa which we both liked. I feel that the sofa is the most important piece of the living area and thus we did not compromise until both of us "approved" the sofa.

Don't be fooled by the look of this sofa as we measured, it's almost 2m in length, which was perfect for us!

IMG_7192.jpg

The interesting thing about this sofa was that it actually belonged to a 3 piece modular set and this is the L-shaped part of the modular sofa, kudos to HB for creative thinking!

Bad news is that it'll only be delivered in mid June, but I don't really mind waiting a little longer for this.

Both our toilets' lights were awesomely installed, feels so hotel-ish :sport-smiley-018:

Master Bath

And common bath

Also, we decided to switch from solid surface kitchen top to quartz after hearing that it really really really scratches easily

So we will be choosing the grey quartz on the left

can share the link to the bowler hat light? :)

Hi, I wouldn't recommend this bowler hat as the quality is not good and the shape is really far from the original. We just use it because I don't wanna spend extra money and waiting time buying another piece.

I also chose very similar tile combi for the toilets and saw that it makes my toilet very dark if without lighting. Finally found someone who did similar and the results came up very well :)

Great sigh of relief! Think when my lights go up the effect will be great!

Nice reno progress btw

I used normal metal/wood paint. I think there's no restrictions on painting the door and gate, as far as I know, only can't change it.

I thought there is no restrictions on changing door and gate?

Though think if your door is a fire-rated door need to get a permit to change [to another fire rated door]. Rules are different between resale and BTO arh? If so, pardon me.

I just changed my gate grilles, no permit needed.

So now that there's more carpentry installed and we've even shifted in our dinning / gaming table!

Loads of snacks for gaming night

IMG_7303.jpg

Bomb shelter rack is also done, in matte black

IMG_7284.jpg

While kitchen is glossy white, I guess we are really extreme people, our home is either black or stark white...hehe
