Woodlands Dew 4-Room BTO @ Woodlands Crescent

Finally, after 3 years of waiting, we got our keys on Jan 2014.

Prior to key collections, we sent several RFQ out, but the responds are really weak/poor (might be due to EOY or CNY closure period, they are rushing to settle their existing projects and no time to entertain us!).

But managed to met up/get quotations with few IDs and contractor:

- A D D space Interior (Need to space the letters out cos the system auto censor it)
- Mr.K
- The Interior Lab
- Artelier Tang
- Cosy Living
- Inspired Designs

*PS: Did not really met all of them, but had indicated in our emails what we want and the materials we want.

ID Choice

Eventually, we went ahead with Dave from Inspired Designs.

The quote they gave are reasonable, due to we will be doing a lot of carpentry works, our reno cost is higher than normal.

Having a budget to meet, so have to cut cost from various measures (keeping whole concept towards minimalistic.)

Renovation cost about Mid $30k before Electrical Cost.

Currently, so far so good and they started around 1-2 weeks back.

Theme: Modern Minimalistic.

Hey! We also have the same theme in mind. However, ours is more mish-mashed. Ecletic modern minimilastic. We read that you have a lot of carpentry works like ours so we were wondering if you could share with us the type of carpentry works that you have. You may refer to our blog for our carpentry works.

Hi, we will hack partial bedroom wall to connect to Bedroom 2 and do a full height WIW (total approx. 19ft full height wardrobe with 1 glass display cabinet for bags).

We are not doing bay window but we are doing customise dining table too but not using iQuartz. We only use iQuartz for kitchen top.

We are not using invisible grille too cos I heard that if there is any fault, need to reinstall the whole system.

Apart from these, we will be sealing up one of the doors.

We will be doing full length headboard, study tables (c/w top cabinet) , side tables and many others.

As our toilet doors are wood type, we are changing to frosted glass type.

Hi Songz, we are doing shower screen c/w glass swing doors + vanity top and full length mirror (till the length where my WC will be located), and the toilet's window will be hide inside the "mirror cabinet".

We are changing the basin and the tap as the one provided by HDB is really ugly. My hubby wants to change the toilet bowl as well but then we're still considering as it is an additional costs to us! hahaha...

We've decided on Aeratron Fan as compared to Haiku.

It looks amazing!

Bought 2 Aeratron for our home.

Living room's 3-blades

Tested these fans in the shop, I'm not hoping for tornado-like wind but a cooling flow of wind will be sufficient. Often we use ceiling fan at low speed setting. Plus my new house has a strong breeze of wind 24/7...

Thanks for the heads up! We will read more about it and find an alternative.

Nice fan ...

For me i will prefer more blades kind for wind

Yup.. depends on individual. Cos my hubby's a designer so we are choosing designs over practicability. :)

Thanks for the heads up! We will read more about it and find an alternative.

Hahaha.. the info was provided by the HDB officer when we took our keys!
