Usage of Car Porch Roofs in Landed

Hi,

What is the cheapest option and cost to build a 1.8m high light-weight screen wall?

It is stated in URA circular that a 1m high (max) parapet wall is allowed around the perimeter of the car porch roof to serve as a safety barrier.

Anyone know if this parapet wall is compulsory or optional since it mentioned "is allowed"?

If compulsory, the wall must be 1m high or as long as below 1m is ok?

the 1.8m screen wall is to provide some privacy between yourself and your immediate neighbor if your car porch is abutting your neighbour's boundary. meaning if your car porch is built right up to the boundary, you will need this screen wall unless your neighbor agrees not to have this.

if you are going to use the car porch roof as an open terrace, you should install a parapet wall (using glass panels or railings) for safety reasons. 1m is the maximum height of this parapet wall so you can build it to whatever height below 1m as you like.
