Sleeping Direction

Recommended Posts

Hi Mr Chong

I have seeked a Feng Shui master to view my house and he said my bed must face north only. This is based on my bf and mine ba zi and feng shui of the house.

But due to the shape of my bedroom, my bed will block the entrance to my bedroom if my bed face north. Facing any other direction except north will not have any problem.

Is it possible that my bed faces any other directions and use feng shui items / miror, etc and yet still acheive the same or similar fengshui result as though our bed is facing north?

Appreciate if you could kindly comments on the above. Thank you very much.

Hello

Give me your DOB+time, floor plan and compass direction of your house and I'll check for you alternatives.

Hi Unsure,

We are Feng Shui novices, just to give our two cents worth.

Based on the Feng Shui books borrowed from Library, it says that a person luck is determined by Life Gua, and different Life Gua have different four lucky and four unlucky directions.

For example:

Person with Life Gua 2 (aka Kun Gua)

Lucky Directions will be SW, W, NW and NE and Unlucky Directions will be N, E, SE and S.

Similarly, a house has its own Gua, based on its direction and the date it was built.

Thus living in a house, you need to combine your Life Gua and the House Gua to get the right combination.

Thus we think its not necessary just to only face North, but maybe just to prevent facing the unlucky directions.

If you are interested in the book, the title is Stories and Lessons on Feng Shui.

Anyone who is more familiar with this, please feel free to correct us. Thanks. :(

Hi, is there any fs rule saying husband must sleep left, wife must sleep right?

This is a general saying basing on Yin and Yang theory. There's nothing wrong to follow or not to follow. If your house fenf shui is right, following is like polishing and not following does not make drastic differences.

I heard its not good to sleep with your bed facing the door....any truth in that??

You can refer to these website for information.

If you are really into Fengshui, I think you should pay a Fengshui master to survey your apartment and advise you accordingly.
