First off i hope this is the right subforum for this. Please move this topic if it isnt! :)

Secondly, hey!
I've been playing around with making neon tubes / signs in blender and a few days ago I made the btw logo.
Obviously it's not finished or refined, just a test if i could get more detailed stuff done.
You can notice some deformations where the turns are really tight.

Just wanted to share :)

I recently took a trip to the Neon Museum in Las ***. It's an old converted bingo hall that has been filled with all kinds of vintage signs from Las ***. I thought it was great, but I couldn't take pictures because they have symptoms up all over that say "no photography." Anyway, I found on https://goodvibesneon.com/ a similar neon sign and ordered it. I think my one is looking better than I saw at the Neon Museum in Las ***. There also you can find a lot of other exciting signs. Or, you can order a custom one.

That sounds really cool! I played around with making neon designs in Blender a while ago, and it’s definitely tricky getting those smooth bends, my first attempts had some awkward kinks too. Seeing how real neon tubes are shaped in person always gives me better ideas for detailing. I wish I could visit the Neon Museum someday, just for inspiration. If you ever want to showcase your neon designs outside of Blender, printing a banner version could be fun for events or meetups. I’ve worked with 1DayBanner.com before for custom stuff like that and had a good experience with quick turnarounds.
