simply put, what company promised were what they could not fulfil :jawdrop:

as we were not around to check on them (see how much we trusted them) pls note:

1. get all the works down in black & white- no hidden cost

2. if u can, QC every piece to be installed then do so. if they do not meet ur standards, tell them to bring u a perfect piece pronto

3. make e time to check their work:

- check every piece of tile laid, make sure it's not chipped or scratched here & there,

- every inch of ur painted wall, they may "miss" a big spot

- check e pieces of laminate in cabinets & wardrobes- make sure they're not chipped or rough on e edges

- ask for replacement if e laminate on e doors to cabinet or wardroes are bubbly

- etc... get wht i mean- QC everything!:dancingqueen:

4. keep to the schedule & demand that they meet ur standards as u'r paying them to do e job

5. only sign e contract when it's to ur benefit.

so really, there's no quality & trust out there. lucky for u if u found them.

I found mine - hobee.

1) didnt pay a single cent until work was completed 60%(no deposit no nothing)

2) no problems regarding quality

3) no problems regarding schedule

4) till now, no problem getting them back to do any defects.(some minor paint job).

Happy to said I also found mine - Intra Design :bangwall:

1) Not an issue as all the hidden cost might appear had been explain & calculated. :jawdrop:

2) No problem on the quality part and even surprise on the material they gave to me. :jawdrop:

3) So far during reno process, we didnt went down to monitor much except on weekend, mostly my ID co-ordinate all the works and update us the stages thru MSM. So far after hand-over we havent encounter any major problems. (Touch Wood) :bangwall:

4) Schedule wise no prob as long u told them the dateline and they are well know for their efficiency.

I cant said they are the best, during the reno process there are still some hiccups but most of the time our ID explain to us the difficulties and feasibilities and we do really learn alot from him. :bangwall:

I think beside Intra Design, there are still quite alot of reasonable, responsible and honest ID ard Spore, dont feel dishearten and give urselves some times to find. :(

:furious:

I'm glad to say that I've found mine too : Leslie from Linewerkz.

He has been very on the ball and given me update at least twice a week on the status of the reno.

Where items gone wrong or cannot be delivered, he will keep me informed.

He kept to the deadline we have given him.

Delivered what he promised.

Gave alot of practical ideas and was responsible & reliable.

Any issues that we had, he will resolve promptly.

Hi Shmj, do you still have Leslie's contact number? I've been trying to reconnect with him but he is no longer with Linewerkz.
