Hi tingshen !!

Yes it's true cannot use normal paint bcos it won't adhere to the PVC bathroom door surface, without properly primed. I saw this Zinsser brand specialty paint primer product in either Home-Fix or Self-Fix (sorry I can't remember which one). It's called B-I-N Primer Sealer, comes in a can. Not sure though if it comes in a spray can too. How this product works is that u paint on your bathroom door with this primer sealer for one or two good coats, then when dry u can paint over with any latex or oil-based paint of your choice. But the tricky part is getting the correct top finishing coat preferably waterproof, since bathroom door tends to be damp or wet.

Anyway, u can check out the product specs here: Zinsser B-I-N Primer Sealer shellac-based

Cheers!

cool! thanks a lot!

those outdoor paint are waterproof right? maybe use outdoor paint to paint the door?

If you paint the PVC door with outdoor paint without the proper primer, the outdoor paint won't adhere well. Should you want to paint it with an outdoor paint, firstly u need to paint it with the specialty paint primer as mentioned above, then followed by the paint-type of your choice. To further waterproof the painted door, u need to paint a finishing coat that has waterproof properties. :P
