Upon stepping into the house of Mr and Mrs Ng Boon Sun, we were mesmerized by the divine contemporary design that stood before us. Husband and wife with 2 teenage boys, they wanted a reliable renovator to turn their 4-storey semi-detached house into a modern chic looking abode while preserving their oriental roots. Crescendo Interior was on the top of their minds after visiting their relative's place. We bring you an up-close interview with the homeowners and stunning shots from their beautiful sanctuary.

- Q: Why did you choose Crescendo above the others?
A: Went over to my relative’s house to witness the quality of the design and the materials used. I was very pleased and wanted a similar quality for my new home too.
Q: Which design concept were you looking for?
A: I was looking for an open concept design for my new home. Also, I want a blend of Chinese traditional look mixed with the modern design.
Q: You have very unique lightings fixtures, you picked them out yourself?
A: Yes, with the sound advice from the designer.
Q: Any advice to homeowners?
A: Pick one that you are comfortable with and look at their worksmanship. That way you can be rather sure of what you are going to get.

In the living room, the diffused light complemented by the soft glow of ceiling lights permeates through the sleek reflective wall and floor surfaces opening up the area with elegance. The theme of black and white, accentuated with accents of grey fluidly guides the conceptual development of this area.
Walking down towards the kitchen area, one is greeted by the classy open-concept glass panels, aesthetically pleasant finishes on the cabinets with matching island counter and a cool flow of light showcasing a string of oriental teapots on display above the cabinets. The state-of-the-art stove and refrigerator makes cooking and cleanup look effortless. Functional yet pleasing to the eye, this kitchen concept is one of our all-time favourite.

With the homeowners concept in mind, the team delivers a classic fusion look to the master bedroom. Modern oriental-orange and black tones were spread across the bedroom and brown floor laminates were installed to give a cozy and intimate atmosphere. At the end of the room, a strategically designed clothing wardrobe slowly soothes away the colors of the orient and introduces the savvy, high-tech modern bathroom.
With an outstanding team of designers and coordinators, Crescendo Interior never fails to surpass the expectations of their customers. Successfully tackling the difficult task of incorporating traditional chinese flavour into modern contemporary design, they bring their profession up the notch from the others.
