Moving along with the times, modern home owners are not easily satisfied with just a roof over their heads but demand a high level of comfort and style built into the restricted confines of an ever shrinking living space. Keeping up with these new demands, Intradesign has always stood out as a trendsetter in the interior design field. This executive condo project at La Casa in Woodlands exemplifies the signature style of competent design concepts with the flair for functionality.
~~INTRINSIC MODERNITY~~

Sticking with an immutable black and white theme, the living room stands out in contemporary style with a touch of elegant opulence. The monochromatic tonality complimented with silvery finishing of the television console area provides a hint of a retro style without tipping over to becoming garish. Layering the television console not only provides a three dimensional effect to the otherwise staid background, but also allows for wiring and other audio-visual equipment to be deftly hidden out of sight. Side panels of the console open to reveal a storage area for discs and games without cluttering the otherwise pristine and neat living room. The lighting of the living room is carefully managed to achieve a diffuse effect without compromising on the intensity of light. Bearing down from the false ceiling are energy saving halogen lights covered with a frosted glass plate and a warmer yellow light emnates from the sides of the celing. Along the wall leading to the bedroom, a solitary halogen light shines down with its elliptical shape dressing the otherwise plain wall.
Just adjacent to the living room, the dining area stays congruent to the design philosophy of the living room, imitating its black and white theme whilst playfully incorporating more metallic tones, mirror finishes and transparent glass. Unique quirky designer chairs in polished black and white adorn the simple moulded glass table. Above the table, a row of bulbs encased in a stained glass shade hang stylishly from the celing mount via three metallic struts. Behind the dining table, a long paneled mirror sits upon a wall layered in black and white with the bottom recessed to hide fluorescent tubes which add a touch of classiness to the dining area. The kitchen opens to the dining area with a bar counter upon which a long mirror runs. This ingenious use of mirrors both allow it to function as an aesthetic reinforcement of the colour scheme but also helps widen the perception of space in the apartment. |
The master bedroom takes on a slightly different tack, maintaining the sophistication of the living and dining areas while providing its own unique character. Decked out in more earthy tones of grey, brown and white, the bedroom exudes an air of serenity. Sitting atop a raised wooden platform, the queen sized bed is backed by a three toned panel flanked with full height mirrors. The recessed area of the panel hides lights which accentuate the patterned panel. Along the window, neat compartments allow the storage of materials in a clean and functional manner whilst the ornate curtains add the finishing touches to the elegantly designed bedroom.
