Hello! the doors are custom made by my ID's carpenter, so its part of the package. as for the wood panels, yeah, we did for the entire living area, but not the dining area la.. hahaha.. not tat rich... anyway my ID say if the whole of the living room is panel also not nice.. so heng ah! excluding the partition and my transformer wall, i think the wooden panels cost ard 5~6K.. was quite worried that i will regret doing it as my ID also say that this is the first time he is trying this out, but the effect turned out well.. kudos to him! as for house visit, i think we still need sometime to "populate" the house before we can have any visitors.. now too bare le..

actually we have a modern country theme, and we decided to go for a white/light brown color scheme.. but as the design went on, our house became 80% white with mostly white furnitures.. hahaha.. can check out my reno blog if u interested.. yeah, i guess alot of maintainance is needed, and ur hubby definitely need to help.. i already volunteered my services to my wifey le.. hahaha

yeah, wifey scouting around for more flowers (plastic ones) for the house.. so our place will look very flower.. if u notice, even the painting we got is of tulips.. hahaha.. wow, that is a useful thread! thanks vin! i'm quite concerned abt ikea stuff le... but seems like the more expensive range is quite alright huh? *keeping fingers crossed* anyway the wooden strips are actual wooden strips, not laminate.. they are spray painted to get the glossy effect.. went to the house a few hours after the spray painting and the smell was terrible.. cannot breathe properly loh.. i wonder how the workers tahan..

really ah? white doors so easy to maintain? good! hahaha.. how about white walls and white furniture then? anyway, here are some more pics from last weekend.. my wifey's most important piece of furniture, shoe cabinet! and yes, they are from ikea too.. hahahaha.. our bomb shelter fully covered by the wooden strips.. with a "tic-tac" door (my ID say thats the right name) concealing the bomb shelter door.. wifey's country lamp, from thomson plaza, and a pot of daisy + country stool for propping her feet up when we watch tv next time..

Some updates to my kitchen: my kitchen door is finally up, along with my dining table. by the way, the whole color scheme of the house was inspired by the dining table.. here's the common toilet door, that came up with my kitchen door.. hope its not that difficult to maintain.. hahaha.. some kitchen accessories from ikea

Hey, i got the antique stain too. I think it fits in quite nicely with my kitchen, maybe its because my worktop also wooden. anyway, worktop better to be in darker color than white right? here are the pics you asked for: hi mrspiglet, unfortunately, you are right.. we bought this set at 1799, and there was a special offer at that time. the usual price for the set is 1999.. if i remember correctly, the chest of drawers were selling for ard 1099 or something ard there.. u can go imm picket and rail @ 3rd floor to check it out..
