Ooh... the combi of coffee and ink.. that sound disastrous... i think it's better to leave it to the professionals.. some laundry shops are able to service bags.. do bring it to them while the stain is still fresh, removing it will be much easier..

Do notice that there are night flying lately... quite puzzled.. dunno what's the occasion. 1st day we move in... we realised getting a mid/low-floor unit is not a bad idea after all.. lol.. the higher the floor, the threshold gets greater.. lol -
Currently using this 10kg model from Hitachi SF-100HJX for almost 2 months plus... so far so good.. tubsize quite wide.. queen size comforter can throw in no problem.. 1 time can wash 3 ikea square cushions.. come out clean clean.. But do find the washing time abit long esp if I on the airjet function... or maybe I am too impatient after a long day at work..

Living On 2nd Floor
vin13 replied to russell's topic in Moving House: Packing, Storing, Moving To Your New House
Just wondering, how did you guys deal with the mosquito problem for low-floor unit… Having stayed in our new place which is on the low level for almost 2 months plus… In the recent weeks, there is a vast increase of mosquito attacks… bites ..bites.. and more bites… Have complained to town council, they threw the ball to NEA… then NEA was pretty efficient, sent their man down the same morning… but found nothing.. then they threw the ball back to town council… then suggest to me to catch a mosquito for them to send to the lab to test… never mind if die or alive.. but must make sure mosquito have full corpse, cannot be squashed.. duuh… How to catch? Meanwhile, we have tried the insectide sprays, mosquito coils, repellent oil diffuser, those high frequency sound devices and insect repellent sprays.. the mosquitoes really very pai si .. if I just missed some spots I didn’t spray e.g. back of the neck, fingers, will kenna bite lor.. they must have scanned thru my whole body.. lol Haai… *scratch scratch -
After reading so many positive feedbacks on Neo Garden from the forum, we decided to engage them for our Housewarming yesterday... We were impressed by their service and food ... and the best part, their company is only few streets away from our place... so the food came to us pipping hot... All our friends and relatives commented that the food is delicious and looks gd too.. Thumbs up for the fried rice, choc eclairs (yyyuummmmy!), luo han zhai and black pepper chicken!! Recomended!!!!!

Hi eddieac, We got our sofa from Uvonna at $2,150 in half leather. We had customised the length, hence there's a additional "customisation" fee included. Free gifts includes a leathercare kit and a wooden tray that can be placed at the armrest for lazy ppl like us to put drinks or wat not...(*Thanks DoubleJ for reminding us to get the tray from them ) Did we get the sofa from the same place? If so, gd choice!... so far, quite satisfied with the sofa.

ya,the tray had send over to us just now..

Once ur carpenter finds his way home and delivers, installation would be very fast le.. looking forward to more pics from you... Hi Yang Guo, heheh... ours is imitation lai de ... actually we first saw this style of lighting in one of the Jalan Besar shops.. got put off by the price.. but didnt know that when we walked few shops down, we saw these similar pieces...at a fraction of the original price... Then later on, we saw the harvey norman too.. must say the harvey norman one looks closer to real mccoy... and also... similarly expensiveeeee too... ouch..

Hi Ivy.. Yah... was sorry to hear about one forumer's bad experience with them.. some of their defects were really unnecessary and unacceptable.. really must fight til the end wor.. As for us, we were pleased with our ID's service. Nice and responsible msian chap.. Things were delivered as per wat we've discussed before and after signing the agreement.. our reno not say big-scale like those resale/standard flats but he still very patient with us... have to give him some credit for remaining contactable on his hp for discussion when he's not in town. As we have engaged our own electrician, there were no issues/hiccups on the coordination of schedule and yup, we cannot comment on NW's electrical works. Lastly, workmanship wise.. just that defects are inevitable & bound to happen, heng is their working attitude is pretty positive lor, tell them salah they will rectify, if still cannot rectify, they will change new one.... workers are generally cooperative and receptive to our feedbacks.. quite fortunate.. dun need to waste energy to "change face" or argue or do any stunts... just need to be naggy and more naggy.. hahaha One thing quite gd is the ID's team can work on Sundays de... we see our nxt-door few units also doing reno now.. despite in hurry to move in, sundays is all stop work de.. That is all we can comment for now... r u shortlisting your IDs now? Gd luck and have fun creating your dream home..

Wooo.. what a weekend.. our furniture started coming in ytd... everything went well except for our coffee table.. still MIAing... Harvey Norman made a blunder and sent the wrong item to us... so delivery delayed to next sat... Here's some pics update... Dining table + chairs With Dining Lights on Side View of Sofa... where is my coffee table? Front View of Sofa Standing Lamp... similar style with Dining.. Bed Frame + small side table Close up Side Track alittle.. 1st few occupants of the new house.. That's all for now.... still nursing an allergy from the dust and all.... ahhChoo..! After placing our sofa, seems like the gap btw the sofa and the slanted wall is still alittle wide... still trying to figure out if any solutions to make it less obvious.. hmm.. folks, any suggestions?

yup.. we have the same prob... .. our mbr+wiw ceiling is slanted, when we install our aircon f.c.u... haha.. can see both are not in line de..the fcu according to our leveling device is confirm straight de.. same case for our kitchen's window frame, after we installed the grilles... can see is slanted too... buay tahan... -
Hmm.. our one is just "blurring up" only... from the picture we took at nite, can still see our grilles' shadow.. so if someone walk past.. can still see black shadow...but cannot see face or other details... from inside outside see is the same... blur blur one.. Maybe at nite time, can be abit scary if middle of the nite wake up go kitchen drink water, then something flashes by... hahaha.. *touchwood... We not so care about ppl seeing thru this window as our fish tank will be blocking more than half the window le... The one you referring to i think they also have... those reflective ones... outside see is mirror, then inside can see outside clearly de... Ya lor, mwerkz... i very pei fu folks who put carpet below dining table de... hahaha

Hi DoubleJ, not sure $199 still on-goin offer anot.. coz that was in Sept... quality wise.. alright lor.. for design.. can see from their site : http://www.lush-lush.com/furry.htm under this furry range.... We got the white tiger and cheetah print de... same tiger print as to the OM one we saw... just that OM's trimmings/border is leather.. Lush is normal de nia...but then at least only $199 nia.. step here and there... heart also won't feel pain... haha.. The window film, we got from self-fix DIY store vivo branch.. know Jurong point branch got sell also... 1 big roll $26.50... got 7-8 designs/texture to choose from.. but quite funny, no instructions to teach how to paste...haha.. can give u some tips if you need help.. Ya lor... reno haven't start already buy liao... until reno completing this weekend... goods still cannot collect... *shake head*... luckily, not in hurry to use, coz will only put after house warming over... later kids spill water then troublesome le...

We are using the first one..compact model... suction power is pretty good with several level to choose frm and the noise level as compared to other brands is significantly lower..love the rubber grip on the suction tool... enables you to have a firm and comfortable grip... think the main diff between the 2 models is that this is much lighter.. easier to drag around while vacuming.. if not, get tired very easily.. but the dust bag smaller... if i didnt rem wrongly, the power is the same...

Our carpets are delayed again... placed an order with Lush for 2 carpets in Sept... was told shipment would reach in Oct.. dragged until now still no carpet... we ask them for final dateline.. they told us this sat... yet they still cannot honour... this noon call to say container held up by customs... Since the price was really low ($199 for 230x160) , we didn't think twice and jumped at the offer.. and got 2 also...coz earlier we were at OM, they have a similar piece at a much higher price.. but they have ready stock.....kinda regreting now... Hai... cheap but must waaait long long... Although not in a rush to get the goods but really put off by their service...moreover, we are collecting ourselves.. no ask for delivery.. but must keep following up with them... Is anyone encountering the same issue on the carpets we have with Lush?...
-
Ya.. got it for our sink too.. err.. as for washing, we were told by the sales lady.. "just keep pouring in the dishwashing liquid" can liao... haha...
-
Esther.. we got the same kitchen sink.. hehe.. kinda figured out this is the best size in Poh Joo to fit in the area we have.. Did you get the soap dispenser as well?..hehe.. we kept playing with it when we are there... space saving esp for our small kitchens... For the bomb shelter/ shoe cabinet, is that using laminates or wallpaper? nice floral design...

Thx for the reminder.. Indeed… I think by either way : top or the left side, we have to be Fantastic 4 or one of the brothers in “Ten Brothers” liao le .. haha… can use bamboo pole bah… will try out ...just kidding... we have additional a power point inside the top cabinet... standby for future, if we need to install hood.. dunno any use.. shall consult ID tmr.. see any way to rectify.. Our purpose for the partition is to protect the fridge from the direct grease and heat from the hob… as the interval is very small too... *headache….
