$38 from Katong Shopping Complex at Geylang Serai. whoa... stressed le. I dunno where to stuff some of the stuff. URGH.
-
It was really horrible cos we had to look after our furniture and worry about all the tiles and stuff. And there were at least 6-7 men working in the house. One thing I was very very happy with was that my sister brought back a lot of stuff from Ikea and my contractor helped to fix all! The packing that still remains. But we're already 80% done... A sneak into how it looks like.. a mess.

hehe no real completed home photos yet... Will take some in a bit. We moved in on 29th Dec and the furniture came in on the same day. We spent 29th and 30th packing... then on the 31st... the contractor's men came to rectify items.. it was horrible. Cleaning of windows and frames.. 4 men squashed in our tiny toilet discussing... Finally our rubbish chute cover is installed. Sister cutting the string curtain for her room... I haven't put up my own.

WAHH CONGRATS! It's finally your turn! I love your living room set!
-
hehe Thank you! Yes I love it too! cost us $75. I should show off my balcony light... haha Coming back in a bit. Starhub is coming later to do link up my house. I sure hope they will be successful and I'll be able to come online tonight!!! *praying hard* Plenty of photos... haha yes he's very proud of it. With all the furniture in, it really does look very much like a guy's pad.

Very. You'll be very happy when you're home. Final pictures for today. I love my door and grille. *sigh* but as the workers were painting late into yesterday they closed the door when the paint wasn't fully dry. I couldn't open the door this morning and had to pull with all my body weight. Touching up needs to be done now. sigh. Ikea made its deliveries today. Tomorrow, furniture will be in! *most of it anyway* Our kitchen. The top will only be installed on Wednesday. The men from JImmy Textiles came today. One was quite handsome le. hahahahah MBR My room. Bro's room Blinds my sis chose. I forgot to take her room picture. THE FIRST OCCUPANT OF THE HOUSE!!!! She gets to live there first cos we're afraid that all the hassle and bustle tomorrow will scare her or even be dangerous for her. So I brought her there and settled her for the night!! This will be the last post I make from my old house. I've lived in this area for 15 years... (counted just now) and will really miss it here. Sigh. Anyway I'll be offline for 5 days... cos Starhub is only coming to settle the thing on Friday. Urgh. See ya!!! People who want Ah Soon's contact, please be patient ok?

blinds from JT will be installed today! *YAY* Later I put up photos of them ok?

hehe today small items will arrive first. The big items will only come tomorrow and Tuesday!

$250... with free main door.
-
*agreed* that's why my parents chose those too. Undeniable.

No stripes for me but I'll definitely think about the dark solid colour. Maybe in a few months time when I'm suitably bored of my room. For now I shall get my artwork ready to be put up. Thanks rdnest!!! I think so too and I'm really excited to see everything come in!

We were attracted to that last light too and really wanted to get it but in the end we got the flowery one for the living.
-
wahahahha such an interesting "origin"
-
keke thanks BunBun. I did have the intention of having a solid colour but after much thought I decided to keep to white. It looks yellowish now thanks to the light but it's white like the rest of the house. I decided that the items in it will help to bring it mroe colour. As for my bro, my cammie really doesn't do his room justice. I can just stand and gawk at his room whenever I go there. Thanks asianms!! haha I'll try provided it isn't too messy!! Hihi! Yes yes that's a good move! Easier for us to identify you. However I wonder why you chose "caveman" haha. Yup I'm uber happy that it's more or less completed. Or at least I can move in

Ahhh.. nice to meet you!! MMm Laser printed would probably mean that it will be long lasting? That's good to hear!
-
OHH resale wor. Where are the current items? hehe Set up a T-blog to show us the stuff!! If the current items are usable just change the doors of the carpentry to suit the theme you want... (saves money) The kitchen is half done. I realised that I cannot plan for the kitchen cos I don't know what are your washing and drying (clothes) needs like. It depends on whether you need a large drying space... As for the MBR I stretched out the wardrobes to be in line with the storage I planned outside.. so that you can have more hanging space in the MBR... I can't draw for the other rooms cos I don't know how many people are living in your house.. but I'm sure you can visualise. But what I planned so far.. will probably cost quite a bit of $$ after adding in the kitchen cabinets and stuff. AIYOH your layout is VERY good!! *paiseh* I'm such a kaypoh hehe it's always good to compare quotations so good to do some legwork.

Every saturday they also advertise in the papers.. you can keep a lookout for it.

Yuppers the rest of the things he will do when we have moved in. I told him that it's ok since we're the ones who rush him. Once most of your things have been decided like tiles and laminates the rest should be quite fast. I'm looking forward to YOUR reno completing!!

your mirror so cute!!
-
thank you!! hehe

Yesterday my house was still in a MAJOR mess.. with things all over, walls unpainted, things uninstalled. In fact, this morning when my parents went it was STILL A MESS with cardboard all over, doors on the floor waiting to be installed and painted... But just now at 6pm when I went... I it. The new white grilles greeted me first and I got really excited... Then I saw... The nice new white door. One of my favourite lights in the house... the one for the foyer. Stepping in, I saw the worker still polishing the floor... The living room, polished. It's much brighter but I don't know why it doesn't turn out that way on my cammie.. The side with the rooms and the little shelf acting as an altar. My bro's red red room. My room (which is darker than the rest because I wanted a warmer light) Sister's room right at the back. MBR Storeroom with FOC shelving from contractor MBR toilet. I couldn't take photos of the common toilet and kitchen as the workers were all resting there since they couldn't sit around on the polished floor. There were 6 people there even after 7. I was so grateful that they really try to rush. Today is exactly one month from the day we got our keys. Tomorrow we're moving the Guanyin into the house. The blinds will be installed and Ikea will make its deliveries. Monday, it's MOVING DAY!
