Hi figo.... wah... this is tough to explain. Ok. My contractor included changing/relocation pts in his quotation. Which means.. if I relocate the point to anywhere on the same wall,there is no charge for labour and only charge for the cover ($3-$15) depending what cover it is. This will also include changing of covers with point at the same spot. As for Brand new points... I have very few. Verbally, his quote to me was between $10 - $30 for labour. Sorry I'm not much help.... YAAAA and they are lucky I'm a nice person. haha All I did was to "HAH!!!" loudly. Then I agreed to change the timing/date. Hi Haven! !! We're sharing the same contractor?? REALLY? COOLL! Yes yes please do not go. It is NOT good for you to be exposed to all the noise, dust and all. I itch ALL the time when I get home.. NICE!! I like how you are going to have the wall to make the shower area... so hotel-like... yup.. nearing CNY period deliveries tend to get delayed a bit. But nvm ma. You can still celebrate CNY without some furniture... so don't be too stressed about it. As long as the house is ready by then.

Sighhh Just when Say fast... the stupid delivery people make us slow down. Today the sand and missing tiles came early in the morning and the worker moved them upstairs.I finally managed to ask why the kitchen was not completely laid. the Head tiler say that cos some of the tiles sent weren't good, so he sent them back. Today they finally sent the kitchen tiles, the two missing red tiles for the common toilet and the 2 missing floor tiles for the MBR toilet. The electricians came early and started to do the wiring before 10.... after which they have to wait until the painting and skirting is done before they put up the switches and lights for us. Then the headache thing came. My sanitary fittings from Eestilo suppose to arrive at 11am. Hob and sink from Viva (the woman who SCOLDED me) was suppose to come between 12 to 1. Then the curtain people at 12.30pm. 11.40am No sign of the Eestilo people still. I gave the company a call and they said they will contact the driver and call me back. 12pm. No sign of Eestilo people and no call back. So I called them again. 12.10pm. They finally got the delivery man... WHOSE vehicle BROKE DOWN! So suay! *don't know whether it is true or not but I'll give them the benefit of doubt* At this point I decided to call Viva too, in case something cropped up.. YOU KNOW WHAT? the girl dare to tell me.. oh they don't have stock for the hob in the factory yet. It will arrive in the factory at 1pm. So they can only deliver to me at 2pm. !!!!! But when I called three days ago to fix delivery they didn't say ANYTHING?! urgh. Anyway I re-scheduled BOTH to tomorrow morning. I'll call them this evening to bug them and remind them to send. haiz. Only the curtain people from Jimmy Textiles were very very punctual. On top of that... they worked with my dad to take the measurements based on his Fengshui Ruler. Very patient. *phew*

Hi Helix!! true true... 100% satisfaction and totally smooth going isn't possible. But as long as the ID is willing to communicate and is helpful I think it's considered a good reno exp already. Oh no... acid wash and furniture coming in on the same day?? so scary! haha but I'm sure the workers wun be silly. Looking forward to seeing all your photos!!!

Yup Good call to hold payment. I guess when you hold the last payment the ID will really try his best to hurry everything along. So it's the only way for you to hurry things along. Hope you get your things before CNY!

Thanks!! hehe Yup he provide such good service I feel embarrassed for making things difficult for him really. But he doesn't seem to mind. Today all the sanitary fittings will arrive and be put in. The tiling had to slow down a bit yesterday because they didn't have enough sand. But it is delivered this morning and tiling can complete today. They probably finish the skirting tomorrow. Mon-Tue they can paint and my lightings can be fitted next week!

18th Dec Progress Update Floor tiles for both toilets are done. We're short of two red tiles for the common toilet. The white water traps have been put and I think they look ok la. So not going to change them. The tiles for the MBR toilet also done. Parents arranged for the mosaic to be this way... and since it's their toilet... so be it. 3/4 of the rest of the house has been tiled. When I left at 3pm, 2 bedrooms were tiled, half the MBR was tiled and half the hall was tiled already. YAY!! ******************** Rem what I said about my father being very fussy due to Fengshui? Today I really have to applaud my contractor. After he made calculations for the kitchen cabinets, he realised that the special measurement my dad wanted cannot be done due to constraints. He looked through his own Fengshui ruler and looked for other suitable "lucky" numbers. After he finalised that, he called me to get my dad's number so that he can make sure my father approves of the measurements!! He really made an effort to make sure that everyone was happy with the renovation and it's not easy when you're dealing with a family of 5. Really Pei Fu him. So happy we chose him.

Wow!! furniture going to be in already? Well since you did tell him that you're not in a rush.. then the delay cannot be helped. But I do hope that his workmanship is up to your standard. Do take photos of them!!! mm $19k for a 3 room that is not going to change floor tiles and wall tiles... is really hefty. mine is a 5 room and I'm overhauling everything... and mine's 23k. You really need to check that. Get more quotations!!! PM me if you want to try mine.
