  1. Hi gkbt, my wife and I are interested to get something to enhance our water for health benefits. From your postings, you are using the Jupiter. Can you enlighten me on how it works? Is there any maintenance cost involved? Any parts that require changing etc? Is it linked to a tap? I went to Kemp Trading's site but there isn't much info other than the technology stuff. The Jupiter Alphion MX is currently priced at 1888 before GST. is it a good investment or should i look at some other devices? Thanks in advance for your sharing of knowledge throughout the years!
  2. DB re-location should be simple. However, I don't think you can touch the OpenNet point. You will need specialized equipment (fiber optic splicer) to join the fiber cables, and OpenNet has to test that the connection is ok before it can be used.
  3. should be safe? It's like you plugging in an extension bar. 1 socket becomes 6 sockets. same theory right? Just my 2Cs.
  4. Thanks for the info! Is this the only type available? I'm actually interested in this type: http://www.dhgate.com/product/5v-1a-usb-socket-switch-panel-usb-wall-plate/165986075.html
  5. Hi all! Anyone knows if this is available in SG? Those 3 pin sockets that come with additional USB charging ports. I found them in US or China sites, not sure if SG has them, and whether PSB has approved such plates to be used locally? Don't dare to use those China made ones. Not worth it to cause fire just because of convenience. All responses deeply appreciated!
  6. I remember someone mentioning he installed a timer control on the power supply, so after he does his business, just set the timer for the duration to let the fan operate and turn off automatically after that. I find it a very good idea. Never done this myself as I didn't install this in my house.

You'll see the wiring color codes. Yellow/green is earth, blue is neutral, bown is live. You need to connect the brown n blues to the ballasts. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
  8. It's only a few screws if U want to replace the support plates. Before u head down to buy, try dismantling from your cupboard first. The 2 grey parts has got the metal thingy. Try to remove that hydraulic part out (pulling action). Look ard it first to determine where to pull. You should not be pulling on the support plates nor. I take no responsibility in any defects ah...
  9. If u live in the west, coast coast area (opp west coast plaza) has a hardware shop named Yellow Tags. I bought my replacement 8kg type from them. I remember seeing 12kg ones, not sure bat 15kgs...
  10. Hello! I was contemplating using their kitchens as well but you must remember to factor in the cost of installation. The cabinets may cost cheaper but if you add the installation fees, its almost comparable to getting your contractor to do for you. Just my 2 cents.
  11. if you want to provide fixed line, i advise you to call up singtel and disable calling overseas + 1900 numbers. Usually no one provides.
  12. i think you can get philip ones at $9 each at choo chiang. I've never been there, read this info from someone else who bought and used it in the forums.
  13. glad to be of service. learnt alot of stuff here, so just contributing what I've learnt.
