Like u, i'm in the market for a front load washing machine. I also shortlisted the bosch logixx 8 amongst the usual suspects like Electrolux, Thomson & Brandt. In the end i narrowed down my choice to the LG F1422TD bcuz i like the tactile feel of the selector knob as well as the direct drum which to me, is mechanically sound (albeit not really proven & established). It also comes with an improved teardrop surface for the drum akin to the Bosch variant. Check it out with an open mind. Oh, and for that matter, i am not a LG salesman and neither am i affiliated to them. I just happen to find their front load washer functional and aesthetically pleasing. I would love to lay my hands on a Miele, if not for the prohibitive pricetag. So there.

your quote is very similiar to mine. as my unit requires an extensive overhaul, i know its not gonna be cheap. i've seen my younger bro's unit nicely done up by Dave, and that is enuff for me to decide on my choice. payment wise, i'm sure as **** that i wun be paying 1 lump sum. lets see hw it turns out on sat. i can hardly wait.
