House is shaping up nicely! I have the same fan too! In fact I bought 2! 1 white one for the LVR and the antique bronze one ( the one that u have) for the MBR.. The wind is quite strong at low speed and it's nice and quiet. Enjoy your fan.. I had absolutely no regrets buying the Fanco Aroma fan.

thanks all for the compliments - Yes, I am really glad that the dust has settled and I don't have to stress over the reno anymore. Can relax now... Lynn3ralla, have pm-ed you. Quite a number of you have pm-ed me about my grilles and asked for the contact. The contact is Henry from F&A Aluminium. Hp is 9845 9339. Just tell him you got his contact fr the lady at Sgn Ave 3 who did the 2 inch grilles. My grilles & gate are powder-coated mild steel. BUT I WARN EVERYONE FIRST, READ MY EARLIER POSTS ABOUT MY STRESS WITH HIM. So if you do get him to do your gates and grilles, do so with your EYES WIDE OPEN.

Hey Gimz, long time no see..!R u going to paint the metal poles of your bookshelf white too? that would be so cool! After my terrible spray painted bird cages, I didn't dare to spray paint anymore. I had actually wanted to spray paint the water drainage cover in grey ( bought the spray paint) but still haven't dared yet. Would you consider leaving the tires black as contrast to your white furniture?

The LVR and BDRM2 roller blinds were gotten from H.M. Deco at Tanjong Katong Complex Level 1 (near the door, opp supermarket). they were $%& expensive at $300 each. It has a bumper at the bottom so that you won't hear a clanging sound when the wind blows. The MBR roller blinds are from Ikea at $29. That reminds me.. I haven't put up the MBR photos yet! Will put up tonight..

Hi Nitrolli, I used magnetic insect screen for my kitchen and MBR and I designed my main gate,LVR & BEDROOM 2 window grilles to be 2 inch wide instead of the usual 4 inch. For the 2 inch grilles, small kittens are still able to squeeze through. Moo (my black and white 4 mth old kitten) managed to squeeze himself through the main gate. Puck, my 7-mth old tabby, tried to squeeze through the main gate, got his head and body outside but his hind quarters got stuck inside.. It was rather funny seeing him trying to wriggle himself back in. Now, he just stays in and stares at the outside world longingly. So, if you don't intend to have any more kittens, and your cats are about a year old, 2 inch grille gates are fine. I made mine in powder-coated mild steel with F&A Aluminium. You can contact Henry. But warn you first, I wasn't very happy with them. I would encourage you to have EVERYTHING in email when you correspond with him (e.g. when you want him to deliver your gate and grilles, the design, allocation of space for flooring...) City Aluminium had also done some narrow window grilles for "cat-preventive measures" before too. Alex's contact is in the "window grilles" thread somewhere on R.T., and he has a blog in which you can see the pics of his work. For the magnetic insect screen, I called for quotes from Peace-on and Magnetic Screen. I used magnetic screen in the end ,but I think Peace-On ie also pretty ok. It's best you ask them to come to your place for a quote - coz for mine, the MBR is fixed, while the kitchen is sliding using the old window grille frame and each HDB unit has a different window size.

Yes, must get the checked ones. But just get the 1-tick type.. don't bother looking at the 2 or 3 ticks type. -

I regretted getting water-saving W.C.s. The reason why it's water saving is because the flush is not strong. I bought Claytan one-piece toilet bowl - you need at least 2 flushes before toilet paper completely disappears (and it's not as if I use half a toilet roll). For "chocolate cakes", you need to flush SEVERAL times - defeating the purpose of it being water-saving. -
Haha.. insect screen prevent them all from flying in.. very lazy to upload pictures to RT now that I've settled in.....

What a lovely amount of storage! Congrats on your move! Really like your kitchen too!

Yes, I must say that the Fanco 707(aka Fanco Aroma) is really nice and quiet and strong wind! I put level 1 but still need blanket!
-
nice and bright! Have your started looking for furniture already?
-
Thanks all for the compliments! Defuxto: It will be cheaper if you get frosted acrylic instead of polycarbonate. And mine is for both the MBR and BDRM2 door. If a sliding door is really what you want, go for it!! Sure to find something within your budget one!

My Restricted Zone - Under Construction (tampines)

It's finally your turn! So exciting! How anyone can live with such a toilet is beyond me... -
I stand corrected... the things were found.. so they didn't lose any of my boxes at all.. Ho Bee gave me the final costing.... and I had a shock! It was additional $4K more than the original quote!! I'm looking through to see what additions there are.. and not a single freebie! I told him and told him that if it cost beyond the original quote, must tell me, then I won't do certain things.. now final bill come up, I have heart attack. I'm going to bargain!

Hey Gimz! Yes, have been living there the past wk, cable came in last sat, so am going over to my parent's place less now.. No lar.. brid cage permanent position not there.. will be in the LVR once I get my fake plants back.. Yes, sofa bed is gd! Very firm.. that was one of the reasons why I bought it. I don't like soft sofas or beds.. Bought the 3M s/s polish from homefix - works miracles! get rids of all my kitten paw marks in a jiffy..
-
The one at the top is about 6 mths old and the black and white is 4 mths.. cute hor? Both are purring machines - just pick them up and they purr..
-

Not s/s doors lah.. Or else I "pok-kai". These are doors with polycarbonate (the type of plastic they use for awnings and balconies) instead of acrylic or glass. It lets light in, so the whole place doesn't look so dark ..
