  1. By the way, anyone can advise me what is the estimated cost for carrying out the work above?
  2. Dear All, Thanks for the comments. Seems like my pocket is gonna have a hole again.... haizzzzzzz
  3. Hi, Thanks for your reply. But my renovation is still within the warranty from the contractor so should the contractor rectify the problem for me under the warranty? Please kindly advise. Thanks. Regards, Howeas
  4. Dear all, I have an enquiry and would require your advice on my matters? I am not sure where should I post it... So Mod, please kindly move it if this is not the appropriate thread. A summary of the incident: I bought a new house and it was renovated from end of November to end of December 2009. I did an overlaying for my common toilet. on 1 March 2010 our downstairs neighbour notified us that their common toilet ceiling has the sign of leaking from upstairs. So we had a look and request our contractor to come down for an inspection. However, the contractor defined that as a wear and tear problem (due to the block is about 23 yrs). We were told by our neighbour that the problem started around 2 months ago but at that time, it was just a small sign and not observed. However, the condition has worsened recently. Currently, we are unable to define whether the problem is due to leaking from our common toilet or wear and tear. My question is does my contractor has to bear the responsibility (i.e. repair my toilet floor and neighbour ceiling) if found out that the problem is due to leaking? OR this should be considered as another case/job from my renovation since we just overlay the toilet floor and no hacking? Please kindly advise. Thanks all. Rgds, Howeas

  6. Hi All, Just would like to share my experience... I engaged Jason fr U & B for my house renovation. Initially, Jason was the one that get in touch with me but eventually, his wife, Florence that manage and coordinate our house renovation. Due to tight schedule, we were very worried on any delay therefore, since the starting of the renovation, we have been chasing after her on the jobs. Frankly speaking, we were not very happy with her service initially as we felt that we were fooled by her. She used to promise us something but did not delivered. However, when the renovation was in progress, we saw the efforts that she put in to rush the renovation. She asked her workers to work on Christmas eve and till 8pm.. Even though we had a slight delay from the schedule but was still acceptable ... we were very grateful for her help and efforts that she put in even though i have to keep calling her to rush and remind her... Me and my wife were very satisfied with the reno done and most importantly, Florence is really helpful and flexible (CING CAI) in terms of small addition. I would say the quotation was not the cheapest that we received but we are lucky to get them to renovate our house. Here, I would like to thanks Jason for providing us such a good quotation and Florence for her good attitude at work... Just my two cents... Regards, Howeas
  7. Hi, anyone can advise whether we need to check any hollow tiles if we just overlay the floor? thanks.

  9. Hi All, I am looking for a cheap and nice tv console (budget from 300 to 400). Anyone can recommend? Any forumers ever bought it and care to share? (better if can come with the image). Thanks all. Howeas
  10. Hi all, I met Jason before and he told me that he has almost 50 flats under renovated by him. Just wonder how he actually manage it if it is one man show? when i read through this thread, someone mentioned about Jason's wife and Jason's project manager. Are they helping Jason to run on the projects? and is Jason handling projects on himself as well? or he is just doing the marketing side...... (basically, meeting potential client and discuss the quotation). thanks.
  11. Thanks.... by the way, i would like to have a look on house renovated by Jason..... Just wonder anyone allow me to do that? hehe.... PM me k? thanks.
  12. Hi All, recently, just met up with Jason no 1.... overall, quite comfortable through the discussion. He promise to get back to us within 1 wk with the quote and what really impressed me is he can write down all the prices within 30 seconds.... haha (my work is not a lot la tongue.gif ) Actually, we are 80% would like to use him even though the final quotation is not done... our main worry is delay of work!!! does anyone here has any experience that he delayed reno work e.g. promise 3-4 weeks but turnout to be 5-6 weeks..... because i am renting right now so have a tight reno schedule. Anyone to share experience? another question will be..... can we move in even though the reno is still ongoing? hehe..... that's worst case.
