I have never PMed anyone.... any contractors number... or posted about any such thing coz i know none.. so I dont know what on earth you are talking about... if you are talking about plastering... my links included the guys contact info and hes a supplier not an installer.... If you want people to troll the thread about some number which btw I dont think YOU posted.. if you are talking about faith coat.. then why not be more clear about it and not talk in riddles and like give people the run around.... this forum is about sharing of info innit.. I always share my info openly and I post everything on the forum.. from the first post you made with pictures from then on I did not see any numbers..... or a clear mention of who did what I could be wrong there are quite a number of posts but I will look thru them again. People can be a bit more upfront about these things.. paste photos same post include the info about who did it how to contact them etc... instead of seeing 10 to 20 posts asking for contact info.. purpose of which is? if its so top secret and so difficult to get that info out of you.. pls dont post.... its not very community spirited isnt it... * I looked thru ALL your post and in NONE of them did you directly say who did it or provided any contact info* Just saying.. its your right be all stealth about it just dont make it sound like you did us all a favour were forth coming with the info.

I have not decided what i what I am going to do yet. I have TONS of things to do, this is not really my place I live here when I am in town and thats like once every 5 years, I am staying a bit longer this time and helping my mum redo this **** hole.. soo.. yeah I have to slowly source all the diff solutions one by one: 1. windows - proper double glazed vacum insulated widows that are constructed properly, dounds simple enough have not seen a supplier that has what I want, theres no need to fork out for bestview..slide/swing and neither is there a need for UPVC all I want is 2mm or ore solid double glazed aluminium windows thats tightly constructed...... but in Singapore because there is no winter people tend to make these leaky windows with huge gaps and spaces which is bull**** for soundproofing.... *sigh* 2. then I need to decide how to smooth out my walls.. the least messy option would be to use drywall (gypsum board) in the indented areas and the tape mud(plaster) the joints and DONE...for this to be a good solution the drywall has to be paper free. moisture and mould resistant... preferably made for high impact areas.. not just common plaster board question is.. who carries such products in a country that hardly uses drywall... *sigh*... denglas makes good drywal but I dont even know if its available here. 3. then I need to relocate some doors, close up some old ones, knock a small wall down, redo closet space. no gaudy modern design, I am just trying to get my mother familiar with how it is like to live in Canada.. so everything here is gonna be done plain simple north american classic, simple painted doors...shutters, wood trims around the windows and such... sounds simple enough.. the execution of which is going to prove quite challenging.

I want to have these boards directly installed onto my existing concrete walls, with tapcon screws... the the edge and corners taped.....surface plastered and finished.

Thanks for the info, havent been checking for a while but gonna start looking into this -
I am looking around for a local company who manufactures wooden shutters. i found one but its not made here and therefore cost $56 per sq ft and $600 per sqm. http://www.lifestyleshutters.com.au/normandy_shutters2.html and theres not much option other than oak. they have abs plastic for 5 bucks cheaper a sqft.. I have a site in Thailand that ships they cost about $300+ psqm but min order is 20 sqm i have not begun to measure how much I need. so that may not even be an option. So if anyone has installed wooden shutters (see pics in links) let me know who how much etc THANKS !

polydeck.biz he can supply and install I am unsure about the product itself after some research i have noted that some people have mentioned kianson as a good brand the come in long 490cm by 13.5 cm board which they would be happy to cut down to size for easy transport do a google search it costs 150 and a piece and you need to find your own installer unless yours is a big project. I can most likely DIY my project but I need the right tools and buying tools for one project seems a bit stupid.. wish they had homehardware here..... *sigh* . I think I would need to hire a carpenter. Hire him for 1/2 a day or more probably and get the job done.

i have not tried but i am enquiring with polydeck for a premade raise solution for my bath room floor google polydeck

i hope you gus realise more people get fried from using in shower type electrical heaters, I would NEVER go near those things.... esp with the quality of electricians in this country no thank you. I have a gas water heater in the sort of service balcony area we createda nd its fine.. you see the hot water and cold water pipes running but.... you have to run at least one anyways right to serve the washroom so what diff is it gonna make...the gas pipe is already there anyways they extend it before cabinates are laid righ to the end of the kitchen which is now the service balcony area near the chute and install it there.... this is my mother's 4rm ng and that same heater has been in use since 2001. Probably time for a new one, works fine but I realised that the water volume knob on the heater doesnt turn, the city gas people are gonna come check. But it was free If i remember right, coz they are encouraging people to use gas, and the recently acquired gas dryer works great may not match was well to the washer as the previous dryer they came as stackable set but the dryer died a LONG time ago and the washer is dying soon enough, so we wall mounted the dryer and proba gonna get a lg steam washer/dryer which has a what 8 or more kg capacity depending on the functions, so if you have a huge load the drying functions only on 5 or 6 kg load max what u gonna do with the rest of your laundry, dump it into the gas dryer.... see..... it all makes sense LOL

How Much To Replace Cast Iron Sewage Pipe ?
jdanielsg replied to passat88's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
your town council if they operate like east coast will have asked their term contractor to come up with a list of handyman prices for a whole list of things, the quote to change my pvc pipes to new ones was 180 or so for the kitchen but from cast iron to pvc i have no idea. -

am relocating my split units... a few questions: 1. should my pvc trunking have condensation? if insulated properly due to the diff temp the room the trunking is in a/c is not on..... there is quite a bit of moisture...somehow I am not too convinced that if it is insulated properly this is supposed to happen. 2. armaflex or thermaltake. 3. coolserve the guys who installed this condesation a/c although was a huge improvement from before when my mother said water would be dripping all over the wall... but I still think its not the way it is supposed to be, they use black rubber insulation I think its 0 thickness I am not too sure. they are quoting me 750 to relocate and btw the relocation is nearer to the coil unit not further away. Creation air is saying they can do it for $500 with a long install warranty but how can one ever trust those sort of things... and they use thermal take.... so i need some advice on who to go with
