  1. We saw dyson at Tangs, seems impressive, but the price is a bit high. Heard Philips has a model that's able to do mopping at the same time, is it suitable for laminate flooring too? Any idea where got sell that? The other one is the Rowenta bag 2000W vacuum cleaner, the accessories is very good, can go into the corners easily, and also quite cheap lah, another brand from TEFAL right? What would you recommend? Dun think we are going for filter type of vacuum cleaner, it's either the cheapo bag one or the real good type.
  2. how's the feedback so far? found them at Tangs during yesterday midnight shopping. it seems pretty impressive, but quite expensive, the price range varies a lot from models to models. malaysia sells cheaper? any other copy cat that's worth trying?
  3. different people has different effect on different types of water, be it the softness, the PH level, and the mineral contents. My advice is, you shall try it for a few months and see if it suits you.
  4. wah, i didn't know that leh, that's why insisted on the one comes with transformer.... anyway bought liao lah, i think it's ok very plan rectangular shape....damage $27.
  5. I dun think carbon dioxide is able to dissolve in our tap water from the water plant all the way to our place. SG water is highly treated as a results I dunno how many "extra" is added to it already hehe..... for sure PH level is one of the last thing you need to worry about. It's the extra chemicals added to it that is dangerous.
  6. yah, not installing door bell and that's what happened yesterday when the CISCO salesperson came. He called and called and called and called........until I finally realized how come my phone was flashing like mad lol! Poor guest..........
  7. please, PH shows less than 7 doesn't mean it's acidic to us okay? do you know what's the PH range of human body fluid or not? Only water with PH lower than human body fluid then it's considered "relative acidic" to us.
  8. MaCe, block 27 only got 1 shop as you mentioned. Block 30 got tons of shops....... but I can't find any shop like you mentioned, can press until finger get numb leh. All of them sell only 1 model, coz I was looking for AC model. Sianz, in the end bohbian lor, paid $27 for the no design ding dong bell.....
  9. well, upload speed and latency is the bottleneck. 1Mbps is more than enough for online game. this was the benchmark done yesterday when they came to activate the point the highest upload was around 240+kbps.
  10. so you got the hubstation liao? I just manage to hook it up after the activation haven't tested the video part yet. Internet is working like charm!
  11. can't stop my girl from getting this..... But since redhill is not so safe, and we may not be at home most of the time....she got the point so any hot thing coming ? promotion etc? Cisco one is like everyday same type of promotion leh. but it's much better than ADT in terms of service right? Since they are linked with the SPF.... any recommendation?
  12. waliew, you just need to cover your ground floor lah. is yours semi-D or bungalow? or those terrace house? if terrace house then too bad, must cover all liao lor.
  13. alamak, i can't delete anymore, but anyway, it's downloaded and reupload to imageshack, so streetdirectory can't trace one hehe..... wired one will do lah, coz you already have the ding dong switch outside your door mah.
  14. hi MaCe, any idea which part of Sungei Road? I can't seem to find Block 30....
  15. no idea yet, I just want a unique but very nice door bell
  16. any place you would like to recommend?
  17. Actually I'm very pissed off with the quality HDB is giving. charged us so expensive for the redhill flat yet giving us all the low quality stuff... almost all my walls are uneven, as a results the laminate skirting also uneven...very scared it will come out after a while....think will ask powerdekor to strengthen the skirting contact with the wall....
  18. i heard if you take supreme, just take their AC3 can liao woh. anything above AC3 from Supreme are fakes.....but dun quote me lah heheh....
  19. oonik grl, are you in the same block as mine? today I just found out another skirting defects......macam like kena soaked in water that kind of defect, but the thing is, nobody ever washed that room b4! it happened in 1 of the skirting strips..... arghhhhh....powerdekor!! CHINA!! arghhhhhh most probably I am forced to take half day or full day leave just to supervise them so that they finish the job sui sui. **** sad for this industry, a lot of the contractors/workers got no heart, all unfeeling one.....anyhow do, why didn't they learn their lesson from all the rework ????
  20. wah, your unit comes with so many things built in! the door is so much nicer than the redhil one. and got all the toilet accessories fixed up ....so envy.....
  21. i think for powerdekor kind of company really cannot deal direct. I complained to my ID in charge for the laminate flooring, luckily he said dun need to pay and he will gaodim for me. They just need to remove the sink in area, put cement, then install back. hehe....the worst case will be me paying the extra cement screeding work Actually it's really a small area, i think less than a tile size area. Most probably they will not charge me lah. Wait for HDB? then I think my renovation time would really exceed the 7th months liao menz.....
  22. aiyo, hubstation is running on cable, which is so much faster compared to a telephone line, although dedicated. Yes, the internet and cable are sharing the same green fat pipe, but i doubt it would interfere each other. Unlike MioTV, if you're running the TV, you may not be able to share the modem for internet if you're "heavy" user. yes, call 1630 if you need further explanation I have very limited knowledge compared to those people whose full time job is there to answer queries hehe...
  23. a layer of rubber? May I know what kind of rubber is that? power dekor said they scared next time "pop out" lol!
  24. 1.telephone line quality vary from place to place, but SG has lesser variant in terms of consistency of quality Nevertheless, I have heard different feedback from different people staying in different area, regarding the phone line quality for MioTV. 2.MioTV is just a set up box for you to watch some channels. It is connected to a modem supplying 25Mbps to it. the Mio broadband is another thing, but you can share the same modem with the MioTV. 3.depending on the numbers of gamers at the same time at your place, if just 1 person, 1Mbps should be more than enough. I didn't play online games for a long long time so my figure may not be accurate 4.I got the hubstation from somebody else, it's 2nd hand but unused. 5.check out www.hubstation.com.sg 24 months SCV for 2 years, you need to pay $300+ for it. I think the guy who sold me the box signed up both SCV and Maxonline so he got it for free. 6.Starhub states that the free surflite1000 will be free until Dec 2008. So 16 months from next months I am not sure if they would extend it. But it's always good to stay out of contract. I have no contract for everything now Hubstation is mainly a DVR, the internet modem is actually a bonus item....okay, sorry for OT so far too. I didn't have chance to check out LG, I think their graphic processor is quite good too.
  25. I also think so! But since I have graduated so long from university and my chemistry course was during my very first semester only. Thanks kayser for pointing out! classified11, actually I'm interested to know where you hear this from. I know NUS Chem head personally.
