  6. Hi, Would like a rough estimate of how much it would cost for flooring for a 2,200 sqf apartment that I am considering. I am thinking of one-third marble, one-third timber, and the last one-third Chengai Wood decking. Would appreciate any pointers in this direction. Thanks.
  7. Bought and tried for 4 months. Situated in kitchen, open area, device facing towards living room. Personally, I find it useless. Followed all the instructions. It's supposed to work through emitting of signals through electric wiring as well. Doesn't seem to work for me. You can try though.
  8. At least 1m between tip of blade to side wall, so that it doesn't wobble as much.
  9. One very important consideration before you purchase KDK v56vk & v60vk which I have to bring up. This information is only available in the installation manual. Ceiling fan must be mounted above 2.5m from the floor and 1m from the wall to the Blade. The very common reason the fan wobble is because it doesn't meet the minimum clearance. No matter how much you try to switch blades to try to balance it, it just won't work. It is not because the fan mechanism is faulty, nor is it loose. My fans are 2.4m from the floor but they're working fine. Do measure before you purchase! KDK v56vk is 56 inches in diameter and v60vk is 60inches in diameter. Good luck! And about warranty, KDK is high up there in terms of quality and state-of-the-art technology! Unless you never shower when you buy lah.

  11. Are they suitable for HDB? Yes, and they're fantastic and work like a gem! They're so powerful, I always keep it to the lowest speed. One of my best investment! Here's mine: v60wk v56vk
  12. I own a sys 3 inverter air-con. Can I off my main switch to save electricity when not in use? Or does it have to be on standby at all times? 10 years ago, I remember my air-con technician telling me to leave it on standby 24/7 to prevent it from malfunction. But that was a non-inverter. Please advise.
  13. It's definitely from Tampines Ikea. But I'm not sure which section, as it's either a magazine or a lid rack.
  14. Thank you for your generous compliment. a. It doesn't stain easily as it has been waterproofed b. maintenance, same as any kind of flooring, vacuum and mop. No polish required c. A coating is compulsory, and there're alot of different kind of finishing, depending on your preference I would love to invite everyone to my place, but my fiance thinks that our place's very private and special to us. Maybe when she's not in town. haha
  15. So what's new? Every man's dream, spanning about 100" or bigger! Shiok! My dream-maker. Finally we found time to rearrange the books.
  16. Here's the close-up of the kitchen top! 2.5" concrete countertop witha minimum of 90cm clearance below for washing machine. Here's the lid holder from Ikea. Ikea sink complimented with Grohe mixer Cans & bottles below my sink for recycling purposes. Simple Human dish rack
  17. Thank you for your compliments! I designed the interior myself, for the first time Therefore, I was quite skeptical about it as it felt very experimental. Comfort and usability were my top priorities. Nevertheless, none of the furnishings are built-in, so I can move things around if they seem out-of-place. I had all the amateur drawings of the lightings and electric points, will dig them out and post it online. Am very very busy now with wedding coming up next month, so I'll prolly update this blog when I'm ready. Right now, I would love to share any tips and hints for your on-going/coming projects!
  18. Price: $1299 Brand/Model: Ariston/I forgot Dealer: Mayer Marketing
  19. Many of you asked about the kitchen sliding glass door, so I'll just post the specification here. My kitchen sliding door : width, 1.4m by height, 2.1m. Thickness, 12mm. Tempered glass. It's abt $750-850.
  20. Haha, from what you describe, it should be copon polyurethane+hardener. You can request your contractor to apply another layer of it in future, anytime. Avoid letting mop water residue on the floor for too long as it causes the peeling effect you're experiencing now. Good luck! Let's keep each other informed of other tips on our floor!
