Wow....a consultant, that's mean u r more knowledgeable than a main contractor, more design scent than a designer, know more about pros and cons on material. Like to ask, for doing tiling works, what is the percentage of normal cement + water + bonding agent(W1) + tile adhesive cement do they mix with? My contractor told me that some tiles need to soak with water some don't need...so what are the tiles need to soak with water and how we owners know the tiles need to soak or not? TIA.

Hope Henry will rectify all the defects before sending owners lawyer letter or take legal action. There are some loopholes in here and if to go to legal suit...Henry is most properly in the lossing end. 1st, fencer did not sign the last finalised quotation...so the last quotation did not go into becoming a legal contract agreement between the owner and the company. Since this is not so, the first signed quotation is the only legal contract that can be used. 2nd, All warranty will commence only after full payment. Which I'm total agree too but the sentence also mean that goods deliver as to good working condition and was accepted by owner/buyer. Owner/buyer paid the rest of the payment and warranty will commence on that date. e.g. u go Courts or Best buy Samsung LED TV, paid a deposit, then they deliver to the house and install it. Found out the LED TV did not work after turning on the power. Did the delivery man ask u to paid the balance and told u to send the warranty to Samsung as warranty will commence only after full payment or they will bring back and change a new one for u. My advise to fencer, monday, u can go to CASE or small claim to make a report first.

Use rubber matting, those thick but light type like the air con insulation. Below use 3M double side tape to tape it up. Need to DIY a bit, cut it like a tri. shape, like those ramp shape.

Another forumer limc0008 as like very pissed off with Beng Fong Jason Goh leh... this what he/she wrote... For those who wants to consider this guy Jason from Beng fong. Dun bother to, even if its cheap and he sounds sincere. Basically he knows **** about renovation. The funny thing is the only things that looks nice in my place renovate are those not done by him. I think the most important thing to never neglect is to visit an actual site/project and ask the owner yourself.

Jason Goh was used to be having good reviews by some of the house owners....tot of using him when I buy my new flat...now have to wait and see how is it liao. Got to relook for contractor again... First was Ah Soon...then follow by his brother Jason Goh of Beng Fong...now is him turn (owner bad comments)...

Change your rubbish chute to a small type one, then u can shift it to the side, or even can custom make your own rubbish chute but a bit more expensive.

$50K-$150K....it was a very wide range...really depend what material you want to use...marble, granite flooring, compare to homo, laminate flooring, etc..so basically is what type of budget you set for yourself to do your EM on what you want....Look for ID or contractors to give u a quote and you know what is the cost to reno your EM to decrease or increase base on your comfort level.

Knocking down the kitchen wall don't need PE endorsement. Fabricate full height cabinet may help to create more storage space.

Nobody will know if their suggestion is good or bad, unless everyone agreed on that. Because what I'm seem now is like whoever supported jaskel, its was more like not welcomed at all, even thou the latest suggestion by Cold is not a repeated post and is something new. Just my personal view on seeing the posts here that as long as anyone speak up for jaskel, u sure will comment on them. U can said that others that don't know about jaskel personally and based on what they see here but what about the victim/hse owners that had seen and saw what jaskel had done? I know my view may not be welcomed but still want to make you understand that you are biased to one side too. P/S: U all also keep repeating what, so is that consider spam too?

Park Mall have some shops selling victorian style sofa which you can also go take a look on how they design the area if u happen to pass-by there.

Victorian theme.....normally come with wallpaper, heavy furniture, carpet, etc... Moreover you need to know whether u prefer to goes into bright or dark colour theme and design. Happy reno and hope to see your T-blog soon. Love Victorian Style too but current HDB flat may be too small to do it.
