5-Jun-10 =Shopping at Kallang Leisure Park >Mega Discount Store= Bought our Bosch Logixx 8 VarioPerfect Front load washer WAS24444ME, Sharp Refridgerator SJ-PT51R and a Mistral Tower Fan at Mega Discount Store. Initially, we thought of getting a Panasonic fridge but after looking at the inside of the Sharp fridge, we realised it's slightly more spacious with a half panel shelving. Service is good, not too pushy and the lady (Veron) promoting the washer explained about the specs of the washer. She will arrange a demo at our home from Bosch agent upon delivery of washer. So here's the electrical stuff that bleed our pocket: 1) Bosch Logixx 8 VarioPerfect Front load washer WAS24444ME @ $1430 (before the $150 rebate from Bosch SG, promotion for this ends Aug'10) Look out for this month PUB bill, there's this leaflet regarding the Bosch's rebate. 2) Sharp 2 door Top-Freezer Refridgerator SJ-PT51R series @ $870 (Price before the $50 NTUC voucher) 3) Mistral Tower Fan MFD360R @ $138 Price above is nett, no GST and delivery chgs.

We went Mega Discount store at Kallang and was served by lady (Veron), wasn't pushy and she could explain the specs for the washer we are looking for. Eventually, we got our Bosch washer WM - Logixx 8 WAS2444ME : $1430 (before $150 rebate from Bosch SG, after rebate cost will be $1280), Sharp fridge at $870 (free $50 NTUC voucher) and a Mistral tower fan @ $138. No additional GST/delivery chgs. she even arrange a demo by Bosch at our home upon delivery of washer. Though we were offer $1399 from everjoint, we didn't get from them cos I realised their service is soso only plus we believe it's safer to buy from reliable shop since the stuff will be delivered later.

Hey ger, Where will you mount this fan? My hb suggested to fix it at the window grill instead of window panel? saw that Pinktini had one too, had ask her to show pict if possible..

Hi Pinktini, Can I find out more abt the 15" KDK ventilation fan, hope u don't find me "loso" hor.. 1) where did you purchase it? 2) how much is the fan and installation chgs? 3) Need to apply permit? 4) where did you place it, window grill or panel? Possible to take pict and show me? TQ

oh i see. Actually,we had the reno permit already but the days for demolition had past. ID said they can re-apply again. Haiz... long story! The bank (reno loan) is require to disburse the cheque upon submission of reno permit. Probably we shouldn't apply the reno loan too early. As the bank has to disburse the cheque within a certain period upon approval, we have no choice but to get our ID to apply for the reno permit 1st otherwise we have re-apply the reno loan all over again. Waste of time... So eventually, we seek ID for help and he said it's small issue. Guess he is also worried that our payment will be late bah if we have to re-apply reno loan

So are you going to fabricate strips of wood?

=HELP= We are thinking of changing the main door divider to a full height shoe cabinet so as to fully utilise it. will not be placing shoes on top of the cabinets but was wondering will it look weird/odd to fabricate one there (right in front of the main door)? Any comment/advise is appreciated

We got this coffee table together with the dining table and total cost less than $2K. We didn't actually ask for the breakdown b/w these 2 items so am not so sure abt the cost of the coffee table only. It would be better to drop down to S&C at AMK to check on the price.

At least now we knew a date and can look forward to it I doubt so, we can only open door on 19th Jun and thereafter reno shall start at 21st Jun (Mon) which means another week gone. Actually we do not want to rush thru' the reno work, afraid of shortcut/sloppy work Tentatively, we have decided to move in after the Lunar 7th month which will be in 2nd week of Sept.

Had a quick chat with the previous owner when we went over to our new home tonight & get our mail which was wrongly sent from Maybank. Haiz... they will move out on 14th Jun (She mentioned it's a Sunday but 14th is a Monday le). Anyway, althought it was earlier by 2 days, still we are upset bcos we may have to move in after the 7th month (1st day of seventh mth is 10-Aug) which is already Sept'10... What a long wait!

Opps... I really spelled wrong ah! LOL!! Thanks ger, but since I haven't move in I wouldn't know if the bill is here or not le? Hmm... Like that how ah? What if kana fine for late payment?

Thanks for all the advise. Ya, I kept pestering my agent to monitor closely with the HO dates. We also don't want they last min tell us can go for final inspection lor. Currently, the PUB bill still under their name, my agent said she will do the necessary online on our behalf upon HO date, this way both parties could save up some fees. Was wondering how about the "conveyance fee" (hope I spell correctly). Will it be under our name already? Btw, is LED lights downlight? Don't know why I can't see some of the picts from iphone.. Urghh!

We have been waiting for more than a month for our finalised 3D drawing (with choosen laminates). ID thought it was sent, hb asked for it few days ago but until now still no sound no pict yet

Hi Samgalz, Congrats on your start of reno I've yet to collect my keys , afraid that the seller will delay further, we happened to drop by 2 days ago and realised they have not even pack their stuff. The seller even told me she had received her new nest's keys on 24th May and reno had started asap. If i am not wrong the 1 mth extention from our 2nd appt should be 16th Jun We're counting down patiently, By the way, can i know how many keys will be be expecting for the letter box?
