  1. Don't know where to post this but if you have breakable, you may need bubble wrap like us and not want to pay retail price but wholesale price. Found this company Hexaball on Monday 1st March. Spoke to a Lam who was super helpful and gave all types of specs which confuse me so i asked him to call hubby. Hubby agreed Lam had really good customer service. Lam even offered to find out if their company had a delivery in Changi soon where hubby works to drop it off so we don't have to go to Mandai to pick-up (don't know if they offer this to everyone and hope me stating this won't get him into trouble). Anyways, we ordered a big roll, think abt 300ft at $19.25 with GST. Very affordable if you ask me. Well Lam did have a delivery today Wed, 3rd March and bubble wrap with hubby now. Really fast and reliable service! Now our breakables will be well protected when we move. Hope this info comes in useful with those of you in the packing phase!
  2. OMG I move next month and I'm terrified after reading some of your experiences. While most things can fit in boxes, my concern is my new mattress and divan set! It won't fit into the lift of the old house and i was told that if you bend the mattress to force it into the lift the pocket springs will break... I called Zion Movers and the person-in-charge gave me a shock! I explain to him it was a 6-month old King size mattress (divan(2pcs can go into lift) + mattress almost $5k which is alot to me!) and he said not to worry they have ways to squeeze matress into lift (my current place is a 28yr old HDB and lifts not upgraded yet so you can imagine the tiny size)... faint, faint, faint. I explain to him cannot pocket springs will break, his reply was then you'll have to pay more for each flr we carry it down from. Before the carrying-down-the-mattress issue he had already given me an estimate quote of $400, OMG how much more. And i'm just moving to the next Ave, adjacent from my current place and a 5mins stroll away. He tells me its not the distance, I will still need to pay for a full day's work cause that's what he pays his moving men - a day's wage for what i estimate is a 1.5hr job, tops 2hrs cause we will be packing and wrapping everything else on our own. My husband and i can actually move most things in our car ourselves, really, except for matress/divan and dining table. Its just the mattress/divan, 1 x 1.2mby 1.2m dinning table, 1 x 3 seater detachable sofa and 1 x dryer (sofa & dryer actually can fit in our SUV but if movers do it, all the better) that we need help. No fridge, washing machine, cupboards or any other bulky furniture. Any advice?
  3. Yes, I'm looking for 1 too + upholstery for dining chairs.
  4. Hi all, just checked again with HG cause I want to be sure all items i bought are from Germany. The Focus E, Focus S & Talis E2 ranges are assembled in China with the exception of Kitchen mixers which are all from Germany.
  5. Confirm. Just bought on Sat $3k worth. Sales is till end March. They open Mon to Fri from 11am - 7pm and Sat closes at 6pm. Hansgrohe still my preference and yes only 1 model is assembled in China the rest still assembled in Germany.
