Help! How To Completely Get Rid Of Ants?
marshmallow replied to muffin's topic in Home Maintenance & Repairs
like what others have mentioned, the best way is still to clean house more frequently and throw all food waste promptly. from my experience... ants will "migrate" once in a while and there may not be any reasons why they come... insecticides, ants poisons (regardless of brand) etc may help but won't get rid of them completely. however, with diligent cleaning regime, they will disappear sooner or later... and one thing i observed... ants like water... they will crawl to water jugs etc and eventually get drown inside dun understand why they wanna kill themselves like that -
yo bro... nice photos~ never knew Woodlands and Punggol can look so beautiful... haha
-
hmmmm i like stupid brainless game... so maybe Wii is good for me hahaha but thought if there are other options, i should consider too... hahaha give you one more excuse... buy this new PS3 liao no need to buy another player, save space hahaha
-
cher... still must dig from home... anyway, we are thinking of getting Wii.... but not sure if it's a good choice? cos heard that Microsoft's rival to Wii will be launched soon rite? hmmmm....

the best thing is no need to worry about dirty grout lines... haha just that it's really slippery when wiping floor.. gotta be careful.. my mom slipped and fell when we were cleaning the house actually the sliding glass door costs us a lot cos it's quite big (~2.7m x 2.2m)... around 1.4k i think *heart ache* we didn't have time to source around, so we only got a quote from Henry and 1 more on our own. our quote was just $100 cheaper than Henry's... in the end, Henry matched the price so we got him to handle... easier for me la

my kitchen tap looks like yours too... maybe they are the same... haha i guess so long as they have stock, should be able to change ba, my kitchen tap also got a small scratch, and the shop owner changed for us immediately when we brought back your house's original condition looks real good... can save some reno $

LOL... seriously, i think it wasn't well maintained previously, so the first look of it, only 2 things come to my mind - oh-biang, and ugly~ but after polishing, it looks much better... it's true that with the right furniture, it can look very classy, but problem is we are not big fan of those very classy looking furniture LOL... anyway, never regret keeping the marble floor... looks like it can still last us for years all contractors i met told me... marble floor, nowadays if you wanna do, very expensive one.... better keep

hahaha... really lor waiting is so tiring... almost gone mad during those few months of waiting~ my parents kept asking... why buy house need to wait so long one... dunno how to answer them LOL call them and ask when can they move out until they buay tahan you... muahahaha.... huh?? pass me the box only??
-
it really depends on your preference... some pple really want blum but pple like me found it unnecessary to have... anyway, you still have time to think it through no MC ah... that's bad...
-
my reno started in June leh... by now should finish liao mah haha but okie la Henry's team did put in effort to rush for us cos we kept telling him that we need to move in fast... haha i guess marble floor at that era all look like that one ba... at first we also think the floor is very ugly, but we really have time and money constraint... my father told me: it's not nice but marble is a good material and is cooling for hot weather in Singapore, since the floor still in good condition, just accept it ba... the floor actually looks a lot better after polishing, now we think it looks quite okie... or maybe we've gotton used to the ugliness liao hahaha oops other pictures hor... gotta slowly take... was too busy before move in until i forgot to take photos now my place is too messy for photo-taking arghhhh
-
PS3.... i also want lor... why not you give me... hahaha you stay near there and never go look see look see there? hahaha i think i have never stepped foot at Ubi before... not even once

marshmallow replied to Warrior88's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
1 and 2 is correct... for 3, even if you take HDB loan, so long as you dun take grant, still considered as "non-subsidised"... -

Study room - after painting~ Again, sorry that my bookcases were not at where they should be... cos we were waiting for the paint to dry Use Marina Blue (Dulux All) for the walls. really loooove this blue colour! Feel so happy every time i see it... hahaha Study room - after sliding glass door is up! view from outside and inside
-
okie continue to post my living room + study room photos... Living room - after painting... and my downlights before installation Main colour use for the whole house is Apple White, cos hubby likes the very, very slight tinge of green in it At first was thinking of Lily White but he strongly objected cos he found it too "beige" Colour chosen for the living room wall is Bisque (Dulux All). initially wanted to use Latte, but Henry advised that Latte might be too light to show a good contrast with the rest of the walls. Final effect turns out to be good glad that we've made the right choice to change our mind Living room - after lighting installation but before all furnitures in... sorry it's a bit messy cos the study tables were there

hee all, thanks for your comments on the shoe cabinet.... my hubby agreed with banned that he doesn't wanna eat next to the shoes so we will choose location (B)... keke... so now we can continue to shop for our shoe cabinet~ heard from my friend that he saw a furniture shop that sells a lot of nice shoe cabinets... it's near the Ubi's stretch of car dealers but he forgot the shop name anyone happens to know this shop??
