  1. I also use nippon all in one paint, so far so good. The Dettol with fragrance meant for mopping floor is quite effective. I clean the surface of my walls like every quarter. Now is lice free.
  2. During windy days I can't even close the door
  3. Dry cloth will only spread the mould. Hair dryer doesn't help much, lice will still be around. Dettol is to remove the mould, not the lice. When there's no mould there's no lice. Dehumidifier will prevent mould growth but will not remove them from wall. Dettol aerosol spray won't cover the surface thoroughly, mould still grow.
  4. If you are talking about book lice or mould bugs, i can confirm that u can solve it by doing 2 things. 1. Use dettol mix with water and then use cloth to wipe all the walls including ceiling. Do that for a few times spread over days. 2. Repaint the walls with sealant + anti-mould paint. 3. Always monitor and think of remedy. Last time my whole house infected with a lot of book lice (or mould bugs), and drove me bonker! Now can hardly find them.
  5. sorry i didnt read all other posts. But i can confirm that u can solve it by doing 2 things. 1. Use dettol mix with water and then use cloth to wipe all the walls including ceiling. Do that for a few times spread over days. 2. Repaint the walls with sealant + anti-mould paint. 3. Always monitor and think of remedy. Last time my whole house infected with a lot of book lice (which is the mould bugs u all talking about), and drove me bonker! Now can hardly find them.
  6. The contact point between the bottom of the door and the rail track always got "grak-grak-grak...." sound when the door is opening. Even put oil at the track also no use. How to solve huh? I dont want to change door because just installed 1.5yrs ago only. I try to diy first than to call repairman.
  7. Any more reviews pls. I worry it's very poor quality n break down easily n then cannot repair or poor support
  8. I'm looking for an ergonomic one. Got back problem
  9. i just bought the older model which is lighter in weight. The suction is not that strong and difficult to suck hair. Perhaps it's intended for sucking pollen, dust and mites. What i like is the uv ray which i also use for wardrobe and toilet.
  10. Wat is diamond polish? How expensive roughly?
  11. close all my windows (except some openings at the top) and turn on aircon before sleep. Reasons (from my wife mainly): 1. scared of lizards 2. scared of rain (coz wont wake up to close) 3. scared of thief (even though I stay 11th floor! - ask my wife pls)
  12. mine has morning and afternoon sun. I stay high floor, not all windows opened, but got use curtains. 1. I dun really feel that it's very hot. 2. I feel very happy when my house is bright during the day. 3. My sunset view is superb every evening when I come home walking along the corridor.
  13. I have 1 dark brown dining set (1.4m) with a black glass top and also a dark brown full leather sofa to be placed in a small living room with L-box. I am thinking whether to use light brown laminate floor (in IKEA they call it birch) or use white homogenous tiles. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
  14. For those who hacked 2 rooms to become 1, please advise: 1. whether I should use inverter or non-inverter system based on 10 to 12 hrs of usage everyday? 2. should I go for 1 powerful unit or 2 normal units? 3. is there anyway to minimise wastage, such as having a drawn curtain? I try not to have a door/divider because of fenghui. Sidetrack - is it considered legal or illegal to move MBR bathroom sink/basin into the MBR itself? Will I get a fine when one day I want to sell away the flat with such a setting? Thank you.
  15. Roughly how much would it cost for whole house rewiring? And how to determine whether a resale flat needs rewiring?
