  1. Most of the forumers / friends here know that I learnt and practised feng shui and I applied it in my home. In one of the earlier post, I mentioned that the Annual Flying Star #5 resides in my Master Bedroom this year. This is a potent star also known as the 5 Yellow Star and if activated, may bring a whole range of woes from financial loss to unexpected obstacles, calamity, misfortune, serious repercussions, etc. As the #5 Yellow is so powerful, some FSM even suggested to move out of the bedroomroom during the time it is under its influence. But, to me, so long as I don't activate it, there is nothing to fear about. Having said that, you can't believe what happened last Saturday morning when the electrician came to replace the faulty remote control for the lights in my MBR!! I will share the story in a short while, after I download the photographs taken during the process. Stay tuned!!
  2. Hello, Sis Sunshinedream and Bro ELMOMo11 I sincerely thank you for reading my blog. PM sent and I am glad to know both of you here. Do keep in touch!

  6. Yes, you are right. I took a few pictures this morning with my iphone to explain what it means and how my electrician programmed the lights in my MBR: The main switch and the default setting; the 3 downlights at entrance walkway of my Master Bedroom: Programming sequence for the rest of the lights: If I am using the remote control, I just leave the main switch ON, and press the button A, B, C or D on the remote control device to switch ON and OFF, with one press only.
  7. Talking about Bliss...hmmmm, like most parents, we are truly blessed and happy when our children grow up and behave well. My second son got his first full month salary on 23 August (it was pro-rate in July), and he sent me the following text message on 22 Aug: Son: Mom, you got OCBC credit card? Wanna go out for dinner tml? Me: I have the card. Where we go? Son: Heard of triple 3? At sommerset? Its more cater towards western and Japan food. or you have any suggestion? So, we went for buffet dinner at Triple 3, Mandarin Hotel, which has 1-for-1 offer (at SGD89.90 per pax) with OCBC credit card. Then, knowing that I like mango and durian, he sent the following message to me while I was out for dinner with a close friend at Bottle Tree Park last night: I've bought 2 mango and 2 durian moon cake from GoodWood Park. I've placed them on the fridge. I was overjoyed when I see this beautiful pack in the fridge!!

  9. Hi, bro Shawn Thank you for visiting my blog here Yes, still need to install normal switch for the lights, and the switch has to be remained "ON" before we can activate the remote control for the lights. One minus point - my remote control is now faulty and electrician is coming this Sat to check what's wrong with it. Heard from my electrician that this kind of remote control breaks down quite frequently.
  10. Remember I wrote earlier that I bought the 2 Luminer cubes for Feng Shui purpose? You have heard of FSM prescribing some forms of lights cure from hanging a lamp in a certain area and keep it lit 24 hours a day, placement of multi-faceted crystal balls or spheres for a purpose, using of bright coloured wall hangings, bright colours sofa settees, etc, etc...anything that is Yang in colour. As I learnt and practised Classical Feng Shui, I am not so keen about colour as it plays insignificant role in Feng Shui. However, light does provide an important role as it illuminates an area, brings an uplifting energy into an otherwise dark and Yin environment. For me, I will use these cubes for this purpose, and using the colour according to the respective energy it symbolises: Earth, Metal, Fire, Water, Wood; in the area where I need it. green colour light Blue colour light Red colour light White cube is used as a 'metal cure' if not switching on the LED lights. So, you roughly know that I will be shifting the cube around the house, monthly & yearly!!
  11. continued from above: We saw in Turpan ( 吐鲁番) its massive wind turbine farm that converts kinetic energy from the wind into mechanical energy. We visited the historical places like the Grape Valley, Kirez Wells, The Thousand Buddha Caves, Gaochang City ruins, Flaming Mountains (of Journey To The West (西遊記) fame) and Jiaohe Ancient City. Start of the journey at Gao Chang city...ground temperature is 47 degreeC!!! The Flaming Mountain
  12. Continued with our Silk Road journey, which considered complete only with the visit to Gao Chang City & Jiao He, both located in the city of Turpan. This is where the Thousand Buddha wall murals were badly defaced during the cultural revolution:
  13. Dear sisters and brothers, Nine months ago, around this time, I started this reno t-blog to document my extreme home makeover journey. Today, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who had commented or wrote me privately for the past 9 months, especially during the beginning of my renovation journey, to render me your unwavering support, encouragement and advice in one form or another! You all have helped me maintain my strength and focus to keep this blog going, even when it was difficult at times juggling between reno inspection, my work, my course study and my family!! It is your support that help my blog to garner over 101,500 viewships within a 9 month period!! Brothers and Sisters, my sincere gratitude to everyone and wishing you all a smooth journey in your career, a blissful family and a healthy lifestyle with abundance of joy and happiness!
  14. Some months ago, forumer 'ej' organised a group buy for these Luminer cubes and shipments arrived weeks ago: As I do not want to travel all the way from one end to another to collect the 2 Cubes, I asked for delivery service. Initially, I was quoted $50 for transport fee but I deemed it too expensive. I asked them to take their time to arrange delivery and they can deliver to me when they have delivery around my area. Yesterday, while they were delivering goods to IMM, they include my order and charge me $30 for transport fee which is reasonable because if I were to collect the two bulky cubes personally at Bedok, I would end up paying more than $30 for taxi fare!! Here are the cubes which I tested last evening: The remote control: I have mentioned that I bought these cubes for feng shui purpose. I will write something on this aspect shortly.

  19. The girlfriend came to take away most of her personal belongings while we were at work yesterday. She is really a nice girl, still bother to tidy up my son's room before she leaves. I sent a text message to my son in the evening and scolded him for being so cruel to a nice lady, but yet he gives her up and decided to go with the former 'ah lian'. I was really very angry at my son's behaviour and warned him not to bring that 'ah lian' back sneakily, as I can't stand the sight of that lady!! Later, my son sent me the following message.: Quote" I've called her already. Mum, I'm sorry I didn't know what I was doing. She said give us time to cool down as it's too sudden. I'm sorry mum." unquote My younger sister, and even my youngest son also asked me not to interfere my son's relationship! But I don't want my son to get cornered and stressed out due his bad handling of relationship matter, as his BaZi chart says he will be predisposed to such problems especially in year 2012!! OK lah, I am hoping nature will take its course, as you said 顺其自然吧!!
  20. Dear sis, It is my pleasure to share my knowledge. Hope everything is going on well for your family! By the way, if you are not installing the sliding door yet, you may put 2 big pots of plants near the left side, closer to the main entrance.
  21. The Kashgar Stone City, in the Tashkorgan county: The ancient Kashgar Stone City was a significant castle at the junction of the middle route and southern route of the ancient Silk Road. The Stone City is also the place where roads from Kashgar, Shache, Yingjisha and Yecheng to the Pamirs meet. Link Not far away from the Stone city, we visited the Apak Khoja and Fragrance Concubine 香妃 Tomb: Can read up her story here: Legend of Xiang Fei
  22. Continue with my Silk Road journey to Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region - Kashgar: Visited the Old Town City, where restoration works are in progress: On the street of Old Town city: A beautiful Uyghur lady standing outside her home, which is made of mud brick wall. A cute little boy sitting in front of his house: Door curtain behind the entrance of every house:
  23. Hi, sokeai In FS, colour has the least effect and most important is the location of the kitchen in the house, and understanding of what Stars (if we talk about using flying stars method) reside in the kithen on micro level taking into consideration the Period of property and its facing. As for auspicious direction of stove, should base on the wife's favourable direction unless the husband is the cook at home.
  24. mango13 Jie alright, send me your floor plan and let me take a look. I need some compass readings too. Will advise you after your PM. Sis Adi, If there is no issue after you move in, just leave it. My master always said this: "If it ain't broken, don't fix it." Unless there is something happened after you stay in the house, like one of our sister in this forum who sms'ed me for help, then we need to fix the problem.
  25. Bro, Drexter I just peeped at your blog but didn't see the full picture of your toilet leh? Anyway, nice reno you have!
